• Re: LOGOS FOR MAC AND ITS CONTINUING ISSUES

What bothers me is the seeming lack of response these days in the forums. I mean I posted a question 3 days ago and no one confirmed or denied it was still a known issue. -Dan

I cam across this in Barclay this morning and thought I would share it.... The fact is that Jude, a pious Jew, knew and loved the Book of Enoch and had grown up in a circle where it was regarded with respect and even reverence; and he takes his quotation from it perfectly naturally, knowing that his readers would recognize it, and respect it. He is
We've debated dropping the precise estimates altogether since we're not consistently hitting them. But the feel I get from customers is that they'd rather have the information, even if it's not always accurate, than not have the information at all (or have vaguer information). Does that represent the majority of you? Or would
if anyone knew the history of the book.. ie, is it a trusted inspired book and if so, why it didn't make it into the Bible? I would appreciate any comments on this. Many thanks.
While i wouldn't consider it scripture though I do tend to treat much of the Apocrypha as scripture not the same level as the gospels, but on the
Did you notice the bit about the problem with small screens? 13in according to Logos standards is still small!
Yes I did, I am on a 15" 1440x900, it;s not big but it was working normally until sometime in 4.0b..... From what I read it had been fixed so i wanted to check if I was experiencing a different problem. -dan
What are your leanings? What are your concerns?
I like Digital books... my concern is what happens in a few years... I own the New Interpreter's 12 volume commentary, Study Bible and Dictionary. in Hard back and CD editions. For the most part the HC sit there collecting dust (indeed I only have the NIBD in hard cover

My MacBook pro 15" running 4.0b Beta 3 still isn't displaying the home page graphics as it was before. Is this still a known issue (1440x900 is my resolution I know 13" screens were listed as affected). It's not a huge thing. But the large blank spaces on my home-screen does look odd and I thought the above stated it was fixed and I assumed that meant
3. L4Mac does not seem like it's quite ready for prime-time. It's close, but still seems like a beta in too many ways. Constant beach balls usually send me to Logos4 with Parallels if I use it too long. In many ways it reminds me a version 1.0 of a Microsoft product that doesn't really work like it's supposed to until after

I find that it is slow too... (I am on a 2.66 i7 macbook pro with 8 gb ram). My frustration level is a little less since I tend to not so any searches beyond passage guides which takes long enough to open up, and parallel resource switch takes far too long to pop down. I have just come to accept that this is Logos and maybe on a mac pro with 12 cores
