  • Re: What strategies do you use for note-taking whilst reading?

Thanks everyone for all of your comments. Some great study techniques were suggested. A lot of the suggestions though related to finding information that you have read rather than remembering the details. For me to remember those things I need to differentiate between what I want to be able to locate later and what I want to remember. So with that in

Thanks James. I made a mistake listing that one. The one I am looking for is "A Brief Bible History

  • 2 Personal Books

I am considering making personal books of the following 2 books. "The Theology of the Old Testament" by A. B. Davidson and "The Canon of the Old and New Testaments" by Archibald Alexander Has anyone made a personal book of either of these? Or is anyone working on them? I don't want to duplicate my efforts if someone has already done either of them.

Does anyone know who the current sales reps are and their contact info? One of them called me and I thought I had his email but apparently we must have just talked over the phone.

  • Erasing Highlights

I am devising a new sytem for highlights. I would like to start highlighting all over again. Is is possible to erase all of my highlights in all of my books? I know that I can go through and erase them individually but I am wondering if there is a way to do it in one action. Any suggestions?

  • Looking for a book

I am looking for a book that I thought was in my Logos library but can't find it so maybe I read it somewhere else. I thought it was probably a Vyrso book. It was about a Christian who was freeing girls from slave trade. I remember the story of one girl in particular and the things she encountered. Does anyone recall a book like this or have recommendations

  • Looking for a theological term

I listened to a lecture some time ago on an Old Testament survey. There was a definition of a phrase given that means all inclusive. For example "heaven and earth" means everything in between. I think it has something to do with listing two opposites to include everything. The phrase was something like complete by contrast. That is not it but something

May the reason it hasn't moved faster is because many of us already have it in paper or another software. I am not a Baptist but it is one of my favorites.

  • Notes, Clippings & Highlighting

My question is how do you decide whether to use notes, clippings or highlighting when you are reading through a book in Logos. Suppose I am reading New Testament Introduction and I come across this sentence. "Nevertheless, the humanity of Jesus is not lacking and is in fact brought out with almost greater clarity than in the synoptics." I want to take

Here is my spreadsheet. The volumes that have been suggested in this thread are in bold type. I would add Jacob Milgroms's volumes on Leviticus to the list. In making my decision I will be looking at savings and ranking. The ranking is from Best Commentaries. It is difficult to make a decision based on someone elses ratings but at least it gives us
