  • Re: Continually Running Indexer 0%

I entered the command and the software seems to be indexing. Thanks. I'll let you know if I have further difficulty.

Hi Graham, Thanks for the quick response and your willingness to help. Hopefully I'm doing this right. Here are, what I hope are the log files. 1817.LogosError.log 8750.LogosIndexerCrash.txt 6378.LogosIndexerError.log

  • Continually Running Indexer 0%

Hey all, I upgraded to Logos 5 recently and seem to be having trouble with the indexer. It continually pops up and says it is indexing, however, scrolling over the indexer indicates progress is at 0%. Often, hovering over the indexer, makes it disappear completely. On other occasions, it allows me to "pause indexing for 4 hours." This is using up a

Is there any way to do this in L4? I was trying to find a way to export the books to a list, say excel? Especially by ISBN number

  • Re: If I had a million dollars (to grow Logos Bible Software)...

thanks for allowing us to be a part of this process! the number one thing I'd do would be to invest it in developing Logos' mobile capabilities. Integration with the iPhone has been a great move for Logos. It is allowing the software to gain exposure with new people who otherwise would have never purchased the base package. This needs to be extended

  • Re: Kindle?

I'd also like to add my vote for the development of a Logos for Kindle (or any other e-reader which uses the digital ink). I think such an agreement might be an immensely helpful both to Logos and to the producer of whatever e-reader the agreement was reached with.I know that personally, if Logos announced a partnership with Kindle today, I'd buy a

Do you have to be an MVP to join this discussion? :-) I have also played around with this a bit and haven't quite figured it out so far. Once someone figures out, a video tutorial and/or a step by step guide would be great. So, far I haven't seen much in the way tutorials videos on the Morph & Syntax features (I get why, most people probably don't use

Sorry it took a while to get back... things have been busy lately and I've just been dealing with the bug. After several challenges I enable logging permanently. Now how to I find the log to upload. Where are these things stored?

  • Notes causing to Logos4 to crash

Every time I try and add a note, open a note, or basically do anything with Notes in Logos 4. This is getting to be extremely frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I use note files constantly and this problem has made them completely unusable. Is this a problem with Logos generally or my system in particular. Thanks in advance for helping

  • Re: A plea for the bibliographic report to be reinstated

While Excel like features might come in handy, as a student I regularly use Logos for papers. Being able to create a bib in Turabian (or Chicago or MLA depending on my instructor) of all the resources I've used is a big time saver as well as one of the features that immediately impresses friends who I show the software to. For me at least, it was fine

  • Re: Slow (logos 4)

To add one more voice to the conversation, I have also been disappointed with how sluggishly L4 performs. Any time I click on a tab, I get a couple second delay and I have not been able to add a note to a passage yet without the computer NOT RESPONDING for 10 seconds to two minutes. I am running a 2 GB Ram AMD Turion X2, 2.2 GHz machine and expected

  • Re: Bible Speed Search

Jon, Thanks for your explanation of the tech stuff behind the decision making. This makes a lot more sense now. I have been missing the fuzzy and speed search features of L3 and this helps clarify. Still hope to see the features come back separately at least for Bible searches.

  • Re: Fuzzy Search, Where are you dear friend?

I used fuzzy search a lot with L3. as I have gone back and forth between translations and often don't remember the precise way in which a text reads. I think they've dropped it do to the new indexing feature (which admittedly is great), but I still miss fuzzy search as well as the speed search which would automatically generate lists without having

  • Notes vs. Clippings

I have used notes quite a bit in L3, but am sort of starting over with my notes not being transferable to L4 yet. I have used the notes thus far for outlining passages, translation from the orig. languages, making commentary notes/personal observations, and noting helpful resources on say a verse or topic. I had separate files for these uses in L3 and

Bob, thanks for your continuing willingness to listen and interact with us. I think I like Phil's suggestion pretty well and also dislike too many popups. The last 3-4 used would be a bit more helpful than those open.

I am cool with letting it download new features/resources as I have bandwidth and HDD to spare, but just out of curiosity it'd be great to know what we were getting so we would know when things were added say vs bugs being worked out..

  • Re: Problem with Notes

I am still having a hard time figuring out the new notes features. Not because it seems overly complicated but because Logos freezes for about 90 seconds every time I attempt to add a note. Although I am a big fan of Logos, I must admit I have been disappointed at how sluggish L4 has been (it goes to NOT RESPONDING waay too often). I am hoping this

  • new feature: Read Aloud to mp3's...please

Dear Logos, I have really enjoyed the new Read Aloud text-to-speech feature in Logos4. Thank you for your continued innovation! Although the "computer voice" is a bit choppy, it is useable and allows me to play resources which simply don't come as an audio book while I'm busy doing another task. So... the point of this post... any chance we could get
