  • Re: Strongs

Many of the Bibles in your package include the ability to display Strong's numbers. This is accomplished through the inline interlinear options or through the reverse interlinear ribbon. You will see Strong's numbers in a status tooltip when you hover your mouse over words in supported resources. You will also see Strong's numbers when right clicking

You can also use the up/down arrows to the right side of the find box to navigate between matches. I know there has been some ideas bounced around to give the user better control over the events being displayed. I'll pass along your feedback.

  • Re: Haggai apparently was never part of biblical history!

In order to help reduce clutter, the timeline tool hides events that are very short compared to the current date range of the view. In this case, you are probably not seeing the event at Aug 29, 520 BC. You can zoom in on that date, or you can use the find tool (either from the panel menu or with Ctrl-F on Windows) to navigate between the events. The

  • Re: BUG/ABSURD DATA .... Abrose of Milan .... Please let me make my own timelines

MJ, a hollow flag (like those in your first screenshot) indicate that the resource has been marked with a date, but there is no matching event in the timeline. Clicking the flag will take you to that date in the timeline, but don't expect to find a matching event there. A solid flag indicates a matching event. Clicking that will take you to the event

  • Re: BUG/ERROR/STRANGENESS? early=mid=late

MJ, I assume you are talking about the placement of the dot next to the text? The dot is meant to indicate an event that happens at a single point in time. See the "Nag Hammadi texts are written (Late)" entry for comparison. When there is a point event that happens somewhere in a possible range of dates, the dot indicator is not actually fixed at a

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Both streams should be working again.

  • Re: Export/print Timeline

The entire timeline spans thousands of years and includes more than ten thousand events. Unfortunately, it is not practical to print the entire timeline. If you want to fit more events into the visible area, your options are to make the window larger, decrease the font size (using the slider in the panel menu in the upper left corner of the panel),

The new tool is actually going out to our first internal beta tester today. We expect to start using it on real projects shortly. Unfortunately, there is no estimate as to when it will be publicly available.

Thanks, fgh. Bradley does seem to indicate there that the issue mentioned is resolved. Any differences in behavior from my last explanation should be reported as a bug.

  • Re: Cross reference.

My apologies. My explanation was too concise. Yes, it finds the list of bibles that are marked to indicate they contain cross references. Then it looks in each of those bibles to see if any cross reference footnotes have been marked at the desired reference for the guide. I also see the posts in that thread indicating that references are limited to

  • Re: Cross reference.

Victor, I believe the results in the Cross References section are generated by looking for cross reference footnotes in all the bibles in your library.

  • Re: Search Forum Topics

If you do search on google you can specify an option to only search the page title. Since the forum topics are in the page title, this should help limit the results to something useful. For example the following google search will find just this topic: allintitle: search forum topics site:community.logos.com

Thanks for the feedback on this feature. Our designers are taking a look at this issue and we will likely be making some changes to the behavior in a future beta.

  • Re: Passage List in Passage Guide

Dave, all of the references found in the section are merged together to prevent duplicated/overlapping references. If this wasn't done, then your passage list for the above would look something like: Mt 24:1 Mt 24:1 Mt 24:1-2 Mt 24:1-2 Mt 24-25 Mt 24:1-2 Mt 24:1 Mt 24:1 etc To me, this seems redundant and not useful.

  • Re: Timeline Question

There are two different resources we are dealing with here. One is the Bible Facts resource and one is the Timeline resource. It is theoretically possible for someone to have neither, both, or only one of those resources unlocked on their account. The Bible Facts resource includes a particular database containing a list of events that occur in the bible

[quote user="Dave Hooton"] Please note that some events for Asa are missing when the Biblical switch is used! I found other instances e.g. with David. A Timeline event is an independent hand-created entity that exists
