  • Re: display delay when typing notes

In skimming through the links above i ran across this quote from Bob: "Moving forward, I know we'll continue to emphasize "build my own study Bible" type notes, and we are definitely working to improve the little editing annoyances. We're also working to offer new ways of storing your thoughts, organizing research from the books, etc. My hope is that

Thaks Abi, I have tried a whole variety of things including turning internet access on and off and shorter and longer note files and the delay seems to be almost completely random.

Thanks Richard - you mention "the design framework" for notes. Is that clarified anywhere?

Thanks Thomas - I did the google search you suggested and started to seriously consider getting a MAC to run Logos, then looked at the Logos 4 Mac forum and saw a number of posts that indicated more performance issues there. Rats! I use Logos notes for all my exegetical work, sermon outlines, personal comments on Biblical passages, etc. I started up

Thanks for the responses but my original question remains - a new version of the same question - Does anyone on any system have snappy response when typing - so that the screen display consistently keeps up with your typing? I have tried all the wiki suggestions, upgraded my video card, added memory, etc. Does Logos 4 on the Mac show the same behavior

  • display delay when typing notes

Does everyone experience a delay when typing in notes? On my systems it is sporadic; sometimes a very brief delay when typing in a long note and sometimes a 1 or more second delay when typing in a short note. As I watch the screen when typing this is extremely disconcerting. No other program I use has this p[roblem on my systems. I have some discretionary

Jonathan, with the system you have does Logos 4 still have a delay when you type in notes? (delay between typing and having what you type show on the screen) Thanks

Noel, With this system when you add a note and type in the note, does the display keep up with your typing? This is one of my major frustrations with 4 and I have though about getting a new system if that would solve this issue. Thanks

Copy works for Powerpoint as well - i used a diagram of hebrews 1:1-2 in my sermon today. I like this version better than 3 as well - hooray!

[quote user="Bob Pritchett"]If we're wrong -- and people are constantly creating new note files -- then maybe we need to revisit this. But our research indicated a lifetime use of 6 note files or less per user, making right-click seem like a bad place to host something you'll need just six times, compared to the number of right-click menu popups likely

I have a number of fond memories of 3 - diagraming, better and faster notes function that could actually keep up with typing, customization. What I miss the most is the ability to modify what shows up in the mousover popup window!!!!! The info pane helps, but it is so much slower that the popup which i never look at as it is rarely of any use. sigh

Thanks Mark, Less tedious is always better for those of us with ADD. What do I do if I find (as I assume) that I am missing resources? Must I go through the entire installation again (please no, I prefer root canals) Thanks, Rick

  • What I should have vs what I do have - how do I tell?

When I first started downloading Logos 4 i ran into repeated problems with a couple of resources which locked up the process after a number of hours - a heart attack and some other issues got in the way of finishing the download process (and my frustration with repeated do-overs). Is there an easy way to tell what I should have vs what I do have in
