  • Re: Reading Plan Updates between Windows/iPhone App?

Thanks for the suggestion... Yes, the NASB is available on the iPhone, so that does not seem to be the problem. Update: Since deleting all of the reading plans (again) I now have 6 Bible Reading Plans on my iPhone. I don't get it. If this is not going to work, is there any way to set the 'preferred' Bible version on the iPhone so that these reading

  • Repeated Crashes Shortly After Launch

Earlier today I had the "no books" problem with an iPod Touch (WiFi connections, 32GB capacity with 1.4GB free, OS 3.1.2). Tonight, after getting my books back and downloading a few for offline reading I can't do anything with the app. It launches, I get the Logos launch (white background with logo) screen, then briefly 'Downloading Reading Lists' message

Hmm. I guess I need to download the next version. I'm running A16a and adding versions to the text box does nothing to the results. thanks, Steve

  • Re: Theological Dictionary of the N.T. - How to use effectively?

Thanks to all for the valuable information, and helping me learn "how to fish". This brings up a new question (perhaps for a new thread?): How do I discover all these hidden features in L4? My Mac copy has no "Help" menu item. Where is everyone else learning about these features and preferences? Steve

  • Scripture "Addresses" In A19 Mac No Longer Working

I open a Bible. I type in a scripture "address" (such as Revelation 2:1). The dropdown under the entry field reflects the reference, but when I hit Enter, nothing happens. If I hit Enter again, the scripture address goes back to the current place in the Bible. I've tried this with both the NASB95 and the NKJV. It sort of limits the ability to do my

  • Bible Search... What does "variations of the word" mean?

After doing a word search and getting a list of results, I started wondering "Just how does Logos decide what to display in this Bible Results panel? According to the Help available on the Search Results View, the results include both exact term matches and variations. My question then becomes, what is a variation? In my specific case I searched on

  • Re: Bible Search... What does "variations of the word" mean?

I am running a fairly straight forward search using the English language word "elect". The top of the search screen says: "Search All Bible Text in Entire Bible in Top Bibles for" (then, on then next line, in the search box), "elect" Steve

Update: Absolutely no change. I still have the problem. The only thing that changed was it occurred the very first time I tried to replicate it. Steve

  • Re: Reading Plan And Split Screen Grey-Out Problems

I called technical support. Once I got past the long hold message and canned announcements (about 10 minutes) I walked the rep through the problem (which I not replicate until the third try, and the rep never could replicate). The solution was: wait for it... "Uninstall and then reinstall Logos on your iPad." How frustrating. I'm not blaming the rep

  • Are layouts harder to use in iPad v3, or am I missing something?

I split my iPad screen and place the Bible on the left, a commentary on the right, and sync the resources. Prior to v3 if I wanted a different commentary (on the right side of the split) I would tap near the title bar, go to the library, and choose a new commentary. Now, I don't see any way to do this without clearing the split, replacing the Bible

  • BUG: Search from Home Page Replaces Contents of Current Layout

I have my window (layout) split. On the left are my Bibles. On the right are my research resources (commentary, dictionary, etc.). I come across a concept I want to research, so I click on the little house icon to go to the Home page where I type in my search term and press Enter. L4 takes me back to my reading window, where the layout format remains

  • Random Highlights (Mac, Switch Active Windows To Logos)

This is an odd one. When working with Logos, all is well. I switch to another program window (where L5 is not behind the active program window), then switch back to Logos. Suddenly every word of the open Bible is highlighted. When I scroll up and down, all other text is highlighted as well. The only way to get it to go away is to close L5 and reopen

  • Re: Bug: Random highlighting of all text on screen

Bradley, Thanks for the pointer. I did have a visual filter turned on, but I don't see why that filter would cause the problem I am seeing, namely: no visual highlighting visible; switch to another running program; switch back to L5; the entire screen suddenly has visual highlighting... I still consider this a bug. Respectfully, Steve

  • Bug: Random highlighting of all text on screen

There are times when all the text on my screen (so far, only Bible text) suddenly becomes highlighted. It was never intended to be highlighted, but highlighting appears suddenly. If I close Logos and reopen the passage, the highlighting is gone (except, of course, any portion that was intentionally highlighted). I have attached a log to assist troubleshooting

I used "GRAB". By default it captures tiff's. Just didn't feel like looking up the Mac keystroke for screen capture again (I keep forgetting it).

  • Disable Highlights For Printing?

Hello. I am trying out a new (physical) Bible Marking/Highlighting method. Before I start putting pen to paper in my Bible (a real book, not a Logos resource) I want to test out and refine my method. To do this I would like to print out a chapter or two of the Bible from Logos and mark those up. I know I can print a book of the Bible in L5, but here
