Joseph, it wasn't a 'shot'. It's just that if everyone complied with each thread like this (question to Logos), the thread would 'shoot to the bottom' since Logos people don't often answer unless they've got definite information. So you'd be 'shooting' yourself in the foot. People's chit-chat effectively keeps moving the thread up
I guess we have to be careful not to change the subject here...
Was this shot really necessary? Is it too much to ask to make sure that my question gets answered before someone starts asking about unrelated information that kills the thread, making it drop to where no one sees it or cares to look at it anymore? • Dead Sea Scrolls in Pre-Pub Update PLEASE????

Are there any updates from Logos on The Dead Sea Scrolls Bible and The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation ? I know that there have been other threads about this, but they seem to change subject before there is any answer. These would fill a huge void in my library, as I have no texts for either the biblical or sectarian texts from the DSS. Please give

Here is a link from the Review of Biblical Literature for scholarly reviews on the book you originally asked about. These should be helpful in figuring out what it covers: http://www.bookreviews.org/bookdetail.asp?TitleId=436&CodePage=436,2252,4495
I assume you're referring to 1 Enoch. Does it map to Revelation in significant ways? If so, are there books which show this (e.g., the Hermeneia commentary volumes)? Or should I just read all 100+ chapters to see or find the correspondences for myself?
A book that is very useful in studying apocalyptic literature and

  • Re: Rev 1:9

I could not find it explained that way in the time that I took in WBC, NIGTC, BEC, NIVAC, or Continental. I think the problem is trying to get the perfect meaning in English from Greek. It seems that the point is enduring with the expectation that God will act. So they are actually more similar than they may seem.

FYI: My problem did end up persisting. I have two video cards: a GTX 570 and a 9800 GT. I had the latest Nvidia driver release which was 301.42. Since I thought it was a video issue in the first place, I downloaded the newest beta NVidia driver and installed it (304.79). As of right now, this seems to have fixed the problem.

  • Re: Classic Commentaries and Studies on the Deutero-can

When I went to the page it was green at $90.00, but when I placed my $50.00 bid it was green. I always like to look and see if any new scholarship references these classic commentaries, so I grabbed Introducing the Apocrypha: Mesage, Context, and Significance to look at the bibliography. deSilva cites 5 of the works in the collection, but he also cites

  • SUGGESTION: NT Apocrypha 2 Volumes by Schneemelcher

There has to be an issue with the publisher on this. How are these volumes not in Logos yet? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/066422721X/ref=ox_ya_os_product http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0664227228/ref=ox_ya_os_product I have them in print and I much prefer them over Hone and James that I have in Logos. Together they equal almost 1300 pages, which

I agree with TCBlack that your primary focus should be getting with your advisor. With that said, What are the specific guidelines for your work? What type of college are we talking about? There could be a big difference in expectations if you are at Yale vs. ... What degree will you end up with? This could help focus your topic. What had you been planning

  • Re: SUGGESTION: See Balance of Payment Plan in Account

LOL, I think your ultimate point is still valid. If the cost is low enough (as well as your CC interest rate), then you could still come out better just charging it. Another factor is if you use a CC that has special rewards, which could make it ultimately beneficial.
I have done this as well, and they will take off the $5.00 fees for the months that you ended up not using.

OK, that is helpful. I have never gone that far in. It doesn't however take into account each time I have added to the plan, such as when I just bought Hermeneia. It shows it by itself (and disturbingly, it shows up as split into 2 payments as opposed to twelve!), but it doesn't show the total for all combined plans. This is good information though

  • SUGGESTION: See Balance of Payment Plan in Account

It would be helpful if I could see the remaining balance of my payment plan under my account. I have often wanted to make a purchase but needed to call customer service to see how much I already owe.

I do like it a lot. The text only version obviously doesn't have commentary, but it does have textual notes and such, which is useful.
