  • Updating Resource Links?

Just out of curiousity, is it a priority at Logos to go back and update links from older resources when newer resources come out. For example, let's say that a book is released today that references a commentary or resource that is not created for Logos for another year. Does Logos make it a priority to update those links from time to time so that they

  • Re: Why is Theological Journals 14 Pre-pub at $49.95

I got ya. I was just wondering if there was something special here. I have not had the money to buy them since I got 1-10, even though I would love to have the rest.

  • Why is Theological Journals 14 Pre-pub at $49.95

Theological Journal Library, vol. 14 Isn't that the price that they sell them all for after they are released? I didn't see anything extra that would make them more expensive.

[quote user="NB.Mick"] I share the reservations some have voiced regarding making Logos a used-paper-book reseller. However, maybe this doesn't need to kill the idea. The point in case is that some people already own a book in either paper or another bible software, thus they feel a bit reluctant to spend money on Logos resources. The idea seems to

It does also depend on the book you have though, as some do get more than others, but many are not accepted at all.

No, I sold it through amazon proper. The buy back program only gives you change on the dollar.

  • Re: Trade-in program for paper books

I only missed the point that you THINK I was making. The point is not for Logos to start a lucrative business selling used books, but to encourage people to buy the books that they already own in Logos format. It would be no different than giving a discount, only they would have something tangible to offload somewhere else. As for losing money, people

I think anything would be helpful. I just sold my Pillar New Testament Commentary on Ephesians through amazon.com. I bought it new for about $29.00, and I sold it for $23.00. Once the fees and shipping hit, I got $16.00. I would happily take half a book's worth for the convenience of having Logos sell it. And again, I won't make much selling a book

Alabama (I am just north of Birmingham by the way), the point is not that I want to sell books, but that I think it would really help Logos sell a considerable amount more books.

Mark, The point is not for them to make money selling the books. I was just saying that there is no reason for them to lose money. The point is that they would make it easier on their customers to buy their Logos books. The iPad app is free, and they spend a lot of time and resources on it, but it has made it much more convenient for me to read my Logos

  • Trade-in program for paper books

Not long ago I sent in 2 old cell phones to a company. I went to the website and gave them the type and condition of the phones. They then quoted me a price ($80 each), sent me a box, and then sent me a check for the amount within 2 weeks of receipt. This got me to thinking. Logos should have a trade-in program for paper books. They could do similar

+ another. Any complaint or concern that I ever have starts with the assumption that I am extremely happy with Logos software. I am afraid that sometimes it doesn't come across that way.

I would also like to point out that I do not believe that LOGOS is the Evil Empire, but I do believe something needs to be tweaked in the system to account for this.

  • Re: LOGOS EMPLOYEE: Question About Classic Revelation

I never meant for any of this to be contentious. My point is simply that if someone doesn't understand the CP system, and they see that it will probably go to $160, then they will not bother to vote for $50. I didn't until I read the forum posts about the $50 bids. If it is green on my orders page, then it should at least not show up red on the product

Yes, and if an even smaller percentage bid $1000.00, it would have been in production even faster, but that doesn't mean that I want to pay more if I don't have to
