• Re: Highlighting/Finding Key Words

On a similar vein, is there a way to use the highlighting tool to highlight a specific word at every occurrence, say for example, the word "therefore"?
My solution is as follows: If I want to compare to ESV, then the enter in the comparison box would be ESV, English Compare
This does not seem to work. I enter ESV, Bible Compare and when I press "Enter", Logos 6 deletes ESV and leaves me with Bible Compare. Tried it a few different ways and can't get it to work.

  • Using Text Comparison

In yesterday's Logos Blog entitled "A Simple Trick for the Observation Stage of Your Bible Study", Morris Proctor described how to use the text comparison tool. Close to the end of the article he talks about using the "show differences" icon to individually compare all the Bibles in the list to the first one which is the Base Text. My question: Is there

  • Re: New Feature: Send to Kindle

The export to Kindle function just sends a copy of the book to your Kindle which simply allows you to read it on that device. However, the Kindle reader does not have a Logos app that runs on it. The feature you are asking about - being able to have a bible reference appear where it is referenced in the book - is not available on the kindle reader.

  • Logos 6.6 SR-1 unbelievably slow

Logos 6 is almost unusable in its present form. The animation appears that a search is being performed but 10 minutes later still no results. I'm running Windows 7 on an Intel i7 with 24 Gb RAM. Suggestions? Thanks!
In the current query parser, "OR" and "," are not synonymous; only "," can be used within the operands of proximity operators. We have a case in our bug tracking system to relax this restriction, so the first query you wanted to write will work as expected. I've added a link from that case to this thread.

  • Implement proper Boolean searches

Here are three searches which should produce the same results but they don't. The search results are next to each expression. 1. (Arius OR arianism) WITHIN 5 WORDS (writing* OR manuscript* OR literature) - 980 results 2. (Arius WITHIN 5 WORDS (writing* OR manuscript* OR literature)) OR (arianism WITHIN 5 WORDS (writing* OR manuscript* OR literature

  • Re: Flawed Boolean Logic in Logos 6
Yes, fewer results without the search parameter "WORDS" being included! Boolean terms do not work with Proximity terms, so the (list, next word, ...) has to be used where you think OR can be used. If you are thinking about AND, use the implicit AND of proximity e.g. meaning WITHIN 6 WORDS inconsistent WITHIN 10 WORDS expression
