Works here, too! Whew! That was kind of a biggie. Thanks for jumping through the hoops to get us a fix!
-
The same for me, too

Yep! Bring it back Logos!
Current beta
Still a problem even with recent update.
-
I should also that the other books in the linked set with BAGD open to a floating window without a problem.
-
Every time...except when it is not linked to other books (link set "D" shown on my screen shot).

Hello community: Experienced a weird problem just now. When I right-clicked on the BAGD tab (see screen shot) and selected "Open in a floating window" the program crashed. I've attached appropriate log files (I think). What's the scoop? 2605.LogosError.log 8081.LogosCrash.txt

Thanks for the fix. But I can't help but think how are the other SR-4 folk going to be able to update if they don't use this forum?
-
Icon in task bar went blank (again). Typical of most updates. Minor annoyance but would like it to be fixed before v.6

I would love to be able to work with a "night theme" in Logos (like many reader apps, where it makes the background black and the text white, rather than visa versa). I tried using the Win7
Try this: http://wiki.logos.com/Night_Mode
This worked wonderfully for me:
I am currently running 5.2 SR-3 and it has not corrected the problem.
Ditto!

Should this continue on a separate thread?
It would be best.
Don't know what happened but the problem went away. I made a new log file by pressing the CTRL key at start up and when L5 started there was no lag or hanging! Huh? I did several close and restarts and the problem never repeated

I'm using BibliaLS (have always liked this font and has never given me issues). I tried clearing the font cache as suggested in the link but I found that the Windows Presentation Font Cache 3.0.0.0 wasn't running (seems to be this way default). So, consequently, the FontCache3.0.0.0.dat file wasn't produced. Here's the font cache files that are listed

Dave, Here's the scenario: Start Logos Last layout appears Click on a panel to scroll, select a word, etc. "Program not responding" message appears briefly After a few seconds, all panels are responsive to scroll, select, etc.. A bit of investigation yielded it could be something with the Greek resources I had open in the layout (namely the LGNTI).
-

This wasn't the case with 5.2 SR3.
Did you mean SR2 i.e. SR3 is not responding? Please post logs e.g. start Logos with CTRL key held and upload the Logos Log Files folder straight after reproducing the problem.
Dave, Sorry...yes I did mean that I didn't have any problems with SR2
-
I've noticed a longer boot time since the update. Also, once booted up, the program doesn't respond immediately like it used to. I might click or scroll on one of the panels on my layout but it takes a few seconds before it responds. I've also observed a "synchronizing" notification at start up and shut down. This wasn't the case with 5.2 SR2. Here
Well, my 1.38 GB of Logos duplicates is gone (leaving 100 KB). If you follow my guidelines above, you'll be safe.
Worked for me, too! Simply deleted those weird folders and then ran a registry scan using CCleaner to remove their registry attachments. All worked and works well. 495MB of space now available..woohoo

Thanks for the clarification Tom! Will be following to see if this issue is resolved. I have 495MB in my personal directory installer folder.

A quick bit research on this issue suggests caution in deleting any of the files/folders from the Installer folder as they may be necessary for uninstalls, updates, etc.. Most of what I've read says to leave it alone and only delete files/folders if disk space is becoming an issue (usually not the case for most of us). Here's a post that maybe helpful
