• Trick or Treat: Reference Select Bug on Split Screen

This is a frustrating bug that happens all the time on my mobile devices. I'm sending in a screenshot from my iPhone (6s, iOS 10.3.2, Logos mobile ver 5.17.1), but I think this happens on every device: iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, and it's happened through several versions of the app. I would have expected something like this to have been fixed by now
Is this all on Android?
Mine was on my iPhone (iOS 10.3.2 -- been putting off updating for a while). I haven't check my Android phone recently, but perhaps I'll remember to do that tonight. There's no obvious/clear way to use the app when presented with the login screen.

As far as I know, you can't get past the login screen on mobile while offline. There might be a way for them to code this up so that it works like the desktop (i.e. work in offline mode), but I don't think it allows this currently. This is typically not a problem when it stays logged in, which is usually does for long periods of time. However I have

If you know their logos email, you can call sales and buy books for that account. You can even use your card on file with them to make it pretty quick and easy.

  • Re: "Felt Needs" etymology

Thank you both. That was very helpful. The last link shows usage even in 1848. In Thomas Boston Vol 3, it says, "It was felt need brought the prodigal home to his father's house. ... For none will ever come back to the Lord, but those whom felt need drives..." I had read a book a few years ago that used the term 13 times, and it wasn't really explicitly

  • "Felt Needs" etymology

I'm trying to track down the origin of the term "felt needs". Did a library search on Everything and got back ten hits that go back to 1977. Google wasn't much help to me. Perhaps my Google-fu is weak tonight. Does anyone have earlier citations or strategies for tracking this down?

  • Re: Selling Journals

You're not supposed to sell on the forums. Btw, the master journal bundle is only $1200 regular price, and someone could get a better deal waiting for the next version to come out to get the pre-pub price or get this one on sale. https://www.logos.com/product/54391/master-journal-bundle-21 If you're interested in selling, check out the facebook group

I was having the exact same problem as DAL yesterday morning. Because of this, I could not get NA28 anywhere close to Matthew.

And since you likely don't have it in your library, here are the two relevant paragraphs for that verse. It can be a way for you to see what it does before you buy

  • Re: Why does the ESV

Josh, this is a really interesting question! If you look at your na28, you can see that even it says "only" or "only begotten" (your underlined monogenes) God ( theos). So if the NA28 has the right Greek, then the ESV is the right translation. Of course, every other use of monogenes in the NT that I can find is in reference to offspring, so it appears

  • Re: Did Jesus and the NT Persons speak Greek or Aramaic?

I enjoy the threads most that flirt with breaking the forum rules. A couple of relevant passages for this topic would be John 14:25-26 and John 16:12-15. One could try to argue that John was mis-remembering Jesus' words when he wrote those or that they wouldn't apply to inspired Scripture writing, but it would be about as convincing as Dan Brown's various

  • JBL 76

I was reading the ECB on Matt 24 and George Ladd's article "Why not Prophetic-Apocalyptic?" was referenced. This is in JBL 76 (192-200), and though I have the most recent Master Journal Bundle, the JBL bundle starts at issue 100. Would anybody happen to have this journal and be willing to share the article?
Mr. Gabriel, Can you please tell me where you found Daniel Block's Sunday School class? I'm fascinated by his teaching style and would love to be able to get a perspective on how he teaches in a longer, classroom format.
I'm not sure it's publicly available. He taught a Sunday School class on Deuteronomy at College

I'm sorry, but this whole thing is incredibly ridiculous. Faithlife is treating us like they don't care about current users/customers despite repeatedly articulated concerns . When the most recent wave started happening in March, Adam Borries communicated that options were being considered. There has been little action and no communication from Faithlife

Daniel Block is excellent. I listened through his Sunday School class on Deuteronomy, and it was top notch. Engaging teacher, great insight, well communicated. I have high hopes for this course.

There are also other perspectives. In particular, take a look at Vaughan Robert's testimony and ministry (e.g. short interview here ). I believe Logos has perspectives books, which, while I'm sure other perspectives would not persuade you, I'm sure they would help you at least see what other's think. For instance, Rob Bell shared his perspective in
