• Re: Theology Guide Recommended Reading Weighted towards Unpurchased Resources

Based on the fact that I get the exact same results as you but own two of the three resources, I would say that they simply have a predetermined list for the topic. Doesn't seem to be about marketing. But it's not a dynamic list that's built from your library.

  • Re: Top 5 Courses ~~ Which one?

I’m sure CM151 is great, but a lot of Bryan Chapell’s preaching class material is free on the internet. I listened to an iTunes podcast of the class. There’s also https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/course/christ-centered-preaching/#course-introduction , so just make sure you want it that badly in Logos. His book also overlaps quite

  • Please go to the verse I select

I think I’ve made this bug report already, but it bugs me that when I select a verse on my phone, it doesn’t actually go to that verse. The app tries to give me context, but it does that math wrong most of the time. It happens so often that you might as well turn this “feature” off. You can see in my screensho that I tried to

I think they’re still working on a new notes system and porting old notes over to it. I would anticipate that logos 8 comes out when they’re done with that.

  • Re: What is a "Reformed Baptist?"

Sounds like Robert‘s second to last paragraph is pretty good. Reformed Baptist would generally be Calvinist in soteriology while the general view is Arminian. A guy like John Piper is a pretty good example of this style of baptist. They’re pretty close to Presbyterians, but have a different view of the Covenant.
What I want to avoid is producing a public domain version only to have other companies market Bible versions to plug into it. We have fought tooth and nail for 25 years against the practice of turning Scripture into a commodity. It has always felt like a losing battle. • Re: Any ideas for a good Intro to the Bible for nonbelievers?

There have been some good suggestions. If this person is willing to go through material with you, look into leading them through Christianity Explored. It's a study through the gospel of Mark. Then after the gospel is well articulated, some of the other parts of the Bible's storyline might start to make more sense.
Maybe it should not be an Open forum, but closed to owners of the software.
They won't want to do that because the forums can be a great place for prospective users to learn about the software before they buy it. But perhaps they can keep one subforum open for just that purpose and keep the rest of them locked down

It is interesting that it's gotten through with so much more prevalence lately. Though it works out in the end because I finally found my source for a much needed water nipple for sows. Didn't even have to look any further than my local Bible program forum, how convenient! I wonder if there would be a way to add a status flag for actual users of Faithlife

I actually had the CS Lewis collection and gave it away. I'd love to have a chance to buy it at a great discount
