Hi Donnie, I preach from an iPad. I've used the smaller version, though my wife has the big one and I'm interested in trying that one out. Using the iPad has worked really well for me. I do feel like I "worry" about extra things, like having a battery run out or other technical difficulties, but I remind myself that there could be problems no matter

  • Passage Analysis Word Tree Problem

Tried running a tree on various words in the book of Mark, and if I exceed a certain threshold, the results get cut off and there is no way to scroll or zoom to see the rest. Here's an example of the problem.

Since I read it, I have felt like the #1 non-Bible book that every Christian should read is J.I. Packer's Knowing God .
I've approved your post. As far as I can tell, the system is working correctly. It's pretty much impossible to tell specifically why the system gave a false positive on your post.
I appreciate that you're taking active steps to prevent spam. I'm sure you'll refine the system as time goes on, but it

  • Re: The Latin Works of John Owen, in English

I have several pre-pubs that are languishing, and this is one of them. I wish that Pre-pub wasn't treated as a fixed-price community pricing scheme. If something might fail due to lack of interest, it's possible that price is the main reason. Throwing it up on CP would fix that issue, but instead a great work like this sits stuck. Faithlife, please

  • Annoying Search Behavior

Whenever I pull up the search screen on a mobile app, it always resets itself to "Top Bibles". Can it please just stay on the last search settings I used? My last search was in the ESV as you can see in Recent Searches, but the app insists on always reverting after some sort of timeout.

  • Suggestion: Sermons of Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Obviously all the audio is up at https://www.mljtrust.org/sermons/ and administered by the MLJ Trust. Apparently all of the sermons were transcribed and printed in the Westminster Record, but I could not find any old sources of that newsletter. 22 sermons are available here: http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/articles/index.php?view=category&cid

  • Trick or Treat: Reference Select Bug on Split Screen

This is a frustrating bug that happens all the time on my mobile devices. I'm sending in a screenshot from my iPhone (6s, iOS 10.3.2, Logos mobile ver 5.17.1), but I think this happens on every device: iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, and it's happened through several versions of the app. I would have expected something like this to have been fixed by now

As far as I know, you can't get past the login screen on mobile while offline. There might be a way for them to code this up so that it works like the desktop (i.e. work in offline mode), but I don't think it allows this currently. This is typically not a problem when it stays logged in, which is usually does for long periods of time. However I have

  • Re: "Felt Needs" etymology

Thank you both. That was very helpful. The last link shows usage even in 1848. In Thomas Boston Vol 3, it says, "It was felt need brought the prodigal home to his father's house. ... For none will ever come back to the Lord, but those whom felt need drives..." I had read a book a few years ago that used the term 13 times, and it wasn't really explicitly

  • "Felt Needs" etymology

I'm trying to track down the origin of the term "felt needs". Did a library search on Everything and got back ten hits that go back to 1977. Google wasn't much help to me. Perhaps my Google-fu is weak tonight. Does anyone have earlier citations or strategies for tracking this down?
