  • Re: Logos 7 Price and Discount Calculator

Phil, I regularly calculate all kinds of dynamic pricing and combinations, sometimes confusing. At the moment some of the discounts with Logos 7 can be quite stunning. eg. if I wanted to purchase both Hermeneia and Continental commentary series I would have to pay about US$1600. However I could pay $770 for Lutheran Gold, or $830 for Platinum Standard

  • Re: Changing LOGOS Segoe UI font for Logos Square Hebrew Font

Gregorio, Segoe UI is not the font for Hebrew/Aramaic or Syriac. Have you cheked out the fonts on http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Syriac.html? All of these if installed will show up in the Logos/Program Settings. Stephen

  • Re: Bug:Double Click Lemma

Beloved, You mention that you are using different layouts. It looks to me that the lexicon is the same in both cases. When the lexicon takes up half the screen the title of the lexicon is given as A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, Third Edition. When the same lexicon takes up less than half the screen

  • Re: Faithlife Study Bible - 2nd Edition

While on the subject of Logos and second editions ...... The IVP Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels comes in first and second editions. The first edition (2003) has 959pp and the second edition (2013) has 1120pp. But the first edition is dearer than the second ... $54 to $48. How does that work? Stephen Miller Sydney, Australia

  • Re: BHS Help Needed

Dan, The vertical line in BHS is as short break. When reading BHS, pause but not long enough to take a breath. It is sometimes combined with another pause mark a few words before. Technically it is is a Paseq ... think of " pauseq" . Stephen Miller Sydney, Australia

Rick, I thank Graham for his suggestion to me. Exactly what I wanted. So here is a suggestion to you. Use TOOLS/FAVOURITES. Make the directories you want and drag the LAYOUT from the layout list. I have SHOW FAVOURIES (with star icon) on my top taskbar. Stephen Sydney, Australia

Jeffrey, Let's not forget the PERSONAL BOOKS. See the FILES forum .... a mixed bag there so some will appeal to you. I even have a book there. Not a LOGOS book but a historical book (1641) that I happen to own. Browse the FILES forum to your heart's content. Stephen Miller Sydney, Australia

  • Re: TDOT links to wrong lemma

George, A little more digging. I think the problem lies with TDOT. Forget about BWS altogether. This is irrelevant. Open an MT and double click on the 4th word of Lev 27:29. Regardless of which MT version I use (I have quite a few) the TDOT always lands on the wrong lemma. The two lemmas are identical. TDOT lands on the correct lemma if I double click

  • Re: TDOT links to wrong lemma

George, An example would be Lev 27:29. The TDOT text refers to this passage ... (see below). This is from what Reuben calls "TDOT Volume 5, Page 180". However the link jumps to the NEXT lemma in TDOT (=TDOT Volume 5, Page 199). Strange, since the same lemma is used 2 words before and TDOT has the correct link. Stephen Miller Sydney, Australia 5. Thanks MG. I had not seen the Google book. I note some differences ... 1. the page numbering starts at a different page 2. Die and Dei are confused 3. The Google doc has an extra 36 pages I also note that I can purchase a COPY of the document for less than $A20. Very interesting. Stephen Sydney, Australia

MJ, I have a couple of simple suggestions for Logos 7 ... both relate to the Library. 1. An additional column .... "when purchased". This would allow me to see which books I have added in the last year or so and have not got around to reading. 2. An additional column .... "Collections". I know I can do this through the Collections tool, but I would

  • 1641 England and Scotland Covenant with their God

I own an original copy of the 1641 ENGLAND and SCOTLAND Covenant with their God. My copy has been bound later and now has thick cardboard covers. The pages are each about the size of a normal playing card. I have transcribed the old text, with old spelling, old lettering and even mistakes. As far as possible I have formatted my text similar to the original

  • Re: Pre-Pub Hermeneia: First Isaiah ---FYI

The publisher allows us to read (pdf file) the first chapter before purchasing. So I can give Logos the heads up on a typo ..... in the footnote m of 1:7, although the text makes sense (it mentions scribes coping with a Hebrew manuscript) it probable should read that the scribes were "copying" from a Hebrew manuscript.
