Faithlife Devs, Is anyone monitoring the Logos Desktop Public JIRA? It hasn't been updated in a while. Would filing bugs there be preferable to posting in the forums? Tom

  • Crash navigating to bible in parallel resource set after changing VF on Mac (6.12b3)

Top 3 Prioritized bibles: ESV, NET, LEB 1. Was viewing Matt 11:19 in ESV with Bible Text Only visual filter enabled (Bible Text formatting, Chapter Verse Numbers, Non-Bible Text enabled). 2. Turned off the visual filter in all resources, then pressed right arrow to view NET Bible. 3. Opened VF menu, right click BTO VF and selected "Do not show in any

  • Re: BUG: Isn't it time Logos fixed this request?

Jack, It appears that the normal "Shutting down" window that L5 Mac displays when you quit sometimes generates a ".hang" report because the app is waiting for background work/network connections to finish up. That ".hang" file is detected and reported to our crash server which explains why you're getting this every time. I'll create a case to have this
If the OS saves the Apple Crash log, I am not aware of it. I usually select all and copy it to a Text Edit file and save it that way.
You can see them in Console (see screenshot). If you post it in the forum, and QA creates a case for Development, having the Apple Crash log might be helpful.

  • Re: Logos 5 Crashing on Mac

Wayne, In looking at your logs, it looks like a problem displaying media on the home page. The problem might be with one of the specific images in the resources in your library, but it's hard to say from looking at the logs which one. Would you mind zipping up this folder "/Users/waynekuypers/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/t43q866c.35n/HomePage
I have the guide, lexicon or other resource opening on the opposite side; as I expected from v5.1 & earlier. So I'm not sure what is going on with the new algorithm.
Using the recent beta, my Desktop is laid out in two windows. Whenever I click a link, the book opens on the left side. It used to be that it opened on the opposite side of the book I was using. So, when I select a word study from my Bible on the left side of the screen, the lexicon now opens on the left instead of the right

  • Re: Any feedback on new bibliography rendering in Logos 5.1 Beta?

I think that's a great idea. Clippings and Bibliography documents make it possible to get back to the original source, but from Word there's really no way to get back easily. I've created a feature case for it so our designers and technical leads can take a look at the idea.

Anon, Thanks for pointing that out. We've got a case for the bug and I've updated it with all the information we have so far, including links to these two threads.

  • Re: Bold Font Bug

John, I was researching this a little bit last night at home in 5.0b. I did see similar results that seemed to indicate it was related to the font sizing. When I had the font sizing set to the default size (3rd from the left) the bold was not visible. Making the font smaller or larger did seem to make the issue more consistent. I'll try to spend more
Tom - I am disappointed too, especially when there is a shortage of developers in the marketplace, and Logos admitted that they were struggling to find qualified developers.
We have a lot of projects going on, all of which need developers, not just Mac. • Re: Updating changes

Doug, Proclaim will sync changes from your client machine to the cloud after you make the changes, but the remote machines may not notice the changes right away if no one is working on the presentation actively. It will sync automatically, but it make take a few minutes. If you want to see the changes sooner, it might be necessary to click the sync

When we discovered the issuses with 4.0b on Mac and NIV2011 we changed the publishing metadata to require 4.2 or later. We forgot to change it back to be available on 4.0b SR-4 yesterday. Once that gets fixed we'll post in the forums that it's available.
