• BUG in Factbook Charles Spurgeon

I hope I am posting this in the correct place. I noticed that Factbook has one entry for "Charles Spurgeon" and a separate entry for "Charles H. Spurgeon." The first of these seems to be the "main" one, whereas the second entry is nearly empty and seems like it should be deleted/merged.
It looks like Logos will be releasing two packages for former BibleWorks customers who are looking to move to Logos: Bible Works Crossgrade Package BibleWorks Upgrade Package
Sounds like I won't be eligible for these since the product pages say they are "exclusively" for BibleWorks owners, but I wish Logos would make

  • Question for anyone with a print edition of BHS from 1997 or later

The SESB version of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia available in Logos says it is the "5th corrected edition, prepared by A. Schenker 1997." Since the Logos edition is missing the introductory/prefatory material, can anyone who has the print equivalent tell me anything about the nature or extent of the "corrected" text of the 5th edition as opposed

I noticed this a while ago, but what always bothered me more is that the icon is shorter than (and therefore lacks the same proportions as) the icons for my other books.

  • Re: Topic Guides: Make Logos do what it does best... better

The lack of Factbook support for all dictionaries and encyclopedias continues to be the reason why I manually search a collection of those resources for "large text" and "heading text" (and deal with false positives) rather than using Factbook as the one-stop shop it was intended to be. Faithlife has made some improvements since Factbook was released

Daniel, glad to know it hasn't gone away for good. Any chance the reconfiguring will include the Genesis fasicle that was released in 2016?

See attached screenshot. The pop-up window showing me resources that identify 931-930 BC as when the Kingdom of Israel divided cuts off the list of results. I am viewing this on a 4K 28" monitor and have a lot more screen real estate than is shown in the cropped image, yet there is no way to expand this pop-up window or scroll down to see the rest of

  • Did Logos Lose Rights to the Biblia Hebraica Quinta?

Question in the title is self-explanatory. I am no longer seeing it for sale on Logos.com. It appears to have been removed from the Stuttgart Scholarly Editions collections. Can anyone at Faithlife comment on the situation? Specifically, will those of us who already purchased it still be receiving updates as the remaining fascicles are published?

The Genesis fascicle was published in 2016. Any word on when this will be added to the Logos edition of BHQ?

  • Origen's Hexapla - Public Domain and a Perfect Fit for Logos

Searched for "Hexapla" and was surprised to find that this is not already available from Logos. Not sure if there is a better version available or not, but this edition by Frederick Fields was published in 1875 and therefore should be public domain. The Hexapla would be a perfect resource to have show up in the Exegetical Guide. From what I can tell

DoC, that is an interesting find. It got me looking at some other Logos resources as well. I discovered that although the Septuagint with Logos Morphology does not include any introductory material either, the product page (1) says that it "includes the corrected, updated, and revised 2006 text" and (2) lists a publication date of 2006. Both of these

Kyle, Glad to hear it. I can only imagine how much work and attention to detail go into creating the Logos editions of critical texts such as this one, and I know you can only work with what you have. At risk of trying your patience with me, I spent some more time this evening comparing my print and Logos editions. I found one more thing I consider

Kyle, There seem to be more systematic problems with this resource. It is not just that the brackets are missing at Psalm 13:3. It is that ALL brackets appear to be missing. The following list represents places where I have confirmed that the print edition has brackets but the Logos edition does not. Tobit 5:14 (alternate texts) Σεμε
I've made a note to get it fixed.
Kyle, thank you for giving this your attention! I was looking at this resource some more today and noticed another peculiarity. Since the psalm numbers in the Septuagint do not always "line up" with the psalm numbers in the Masoretic Text, the apparatus includes a note under verse

  • Re: Discrepancy between print and Logos editions of Rahlfs-Hanhart Septuaginta

Both good ideas! I will attempt to upload a picture and report the typo later today when I am home. The apparatus indicates only that the text is missing in Codex Alexandrinus, whereas the presence of brackets in the text, according to the introductory material, specifically "indicates that the words in brackets do not belong to the original LXX text
