• Re: SUGGESTION: A shorter command box please

I think that it is useful for FL to know what to think about as they seek for solutions, but while the adaptative characteristic of the box is perhaps by design, its failure to return to normal is a bug and must be addressed.

In any case, running it on an entire library would probably take a very long time (unless your library is really small) and cause Logos to

  • Re: How do I make Logos look up German definitions?

I know this is outside of Logos but until we have more German-English resources, you may find QTranslate helpful (if you don't know of it already). You can set it so that it gives you instant translation of words or sentences when you select text with your mouse.

  • Re: SUGGESTION: A shorter command box please

OK, I get it. Now, all you really need is to refocus in the command box to see all matching options again, right? So, this does not require the box to remain elongated. I mean, it seems to me that it is a bigger problem that one's toolbar remains significant decreased in size until another query is done from the command bar than to have to click into
Please turn the auto-reader off so that you will read rather than hear. This not only is working as expected but also as designed. I find the wider box useful.
I don't have a problem with the box auto-widening as I do with the fact that it does not return to its original size automatically afterward. It requires an extra

Bizarre: I restarted Logos and now it has shrunk back to the same size as yours. Updating from suggestion to bug then.
It doesn't seem all that wide to me. Do you have something different to what it looks like for me? I have lots of room for toolbar icons.
Yes! Most definitely: Running 8.1.0.0016 (Windows).

  • SUGGESTION: A shorter command box please

I generally like the UI changes in Logos 8. However, as many users have noted, menus and buttons tend to eat up more space. This certainly applies to the command/search box. Does it need to be this wide? It leaves less room for the toolbar (which is cramped enough as it is). It does not need to be wide for short commands and long ones don't fit anyway

I only ever use the mobile version if I have no other option and often walk away frustrated. But repeated messages about the lack of functionality seem to have been largely ignored. The search feature and offline use are absolutely dismal.
I guess one could do a custom guide
In Logos 8, this is no longer necessary: simply type the name of the section of a guide you want to use in the search box and it will appear on its own. You can pin if you use it often.
I was curious which Starter Bundles do you think have the best additional resources I got the Silver Standard Package already
Well, it's a bit complicated to give a straight answer to this because the discounts vary depending on what you already have. This in turn influences how good a deal one may think this or that

  • Re: library

Hello William and welcome to the forums. Depending on what package you purchased, you could have a substantial download. Then there can be features that require installations (restarts of Logos) and the whole library will be indexed. The more new resources, the longer indexing takes. So, if this is your very first time using this software and your library

  • BUG: Note icons toggle does not stick

I've been suspecting this for a while but had a very clear instance of it just now. I have been using the NRSV for my work continually in the last few days. I have notes icons turned off to reduce visual clutter. Just now I reopen the NRSV and there were on.
