  • Suggestion: Make a temp license available for homeschooling during covid19

Looks like a lot of kids might not even go back to school at all this year! So, you've done much already but this is a step further than the connect/faithlife tv deal and it goes in the same direction as the bible college/seminary deal. I know that much of the education that will be missed is not Bible-centered, but perhaps this could help some. Just

  • Faithlife response to covid-19: Impressed!

I'm not easily impressed but must say that I am with Faithlife's response to help out during the covid-19 crisis : A 2 months free license to Connect for families and others to access Christian content during the crisis. A 2 months free license for students of Bible Colleges and Seminaries to access tons of resources and study even if they cannot access

  • Concordance and Roots question

I was surprised to see different entries for the lemmas below that -- as far as I understand it -- have the same roots. What's the explanation?

Three related items: Since coffee cups must apparently say "caution hot beverage," perhaps it should be said that antiviral soap usage is for external use only I did find coronavirus entries in the 2003 Webster and 2004 Oxford , both in Logos and indicating that it is viruses that affect animals and humans. For some reason, entries related to coronavirus

  • Re: Intertext missing from the Psalms?

Does anyone know if any of the Hebrew Bibles have sigla that indicate parallel text?

  • Re: Intertext missing from the Psalms?

Thanks, Rick, for the reply. Any plans to do this? Are you aware of any existing reference resource that does that? All I have found so far in highly focused studies on intertextuality in certain parts of the OT.

  • Re: Intertext missing from the Psalms?

It would appear indeed that it works only for the relationship of OT to NT passages, not intertextuality within the OT. At least this is what the results from the Bible browser suggest since all hits for the Psalms are in the NT:

  • Intertext missing from the Psalms?

Are intertext tags limited to certain textual relationships and not others within the biblical corpus? Or does it operate on assumptions that would not consider parallel passages in the psalms as intertext? I was checking random examples and found that 1) Psalm 14:7 which is reproduced in Psam 53:6 does not have an intertext tag that points to the later

  • Add tags directly from the context-menu

I've asked for this before I believe and am asking again. It would be very helpful to be able to add tags directly from the context menu. There should be an "Add Tag" function which opens up a field in which one can enter tag(s). I know it can be done via notes and that labels can be used somewhat that way too. But these lack the immediacy of just being

  • BUG: Beware books on FBOTM page could show owned when not

I don't know if this is related to the possibility that one may have owned the books on a temporary license before but the Genesis and Jonah volumes add to cart buttons showed grey as if I owned them. Thankfully I checked and then went to the actual product pages whence I was able to purchase them.

  • right click for history on navigation arrows

It would be nice to see something similar to the navigation arrows in Chrome in Logos8 resources window, namely, that you can right-click on them to see a history of places you've been in your current session.

  • Re: Paul mentioned repentance in NT

The best is for you to go to a passage in Paul that mentions repentance (e.g., Rom 2:5). Then explore the context menu for all the searches you can do based on repentance (as lemma, as preaching theme, as theological topic, etc.). For instance, I found more instances than the search above using "theological topic" as search route. However, there are

  • Add a Tag section in Guides

Tags have been a useful addition to L8 and I tag a lot of my notes. However, although I know I can search for them, I think it would be useful if they could appear in guides when appropriate: 1. References tags could appear in the Passage Guide 2. Lemma or keyword tags could appear in the Bible Word Study Guide. The advantage of this over just a search
