I downloaded what I thought was Logos 6 (1.9GB) and after installation, it is still showing Logos 5.2b sr 7. Any ideas why I never got Logos 6? I am running Logos 6 on Yosemite on my personal late 2008 Macbook and was able to view at least the intro video to Mike Heiser's OT291 course this evening. I watched the first 15 seconds or so fine. (I was actually trying to not do some work in the evening, and just relax and learn something :) ) That said, I'll double check in the morning and we'll

  • Re: Bug: Unexpected crash in Library resource list when using cursor keys - Repeatable

We've updated the citation metadata for all the Perseus resources that were affected. If you restart, Logos will download metadata updates and then you should be able to use APA, Turabian, or any other style with the Perseus resources. As of now, we are not aware of any other resources that are affected. We are still planning a code fix as well to ship

Greg, We were able to reproduce this in house. It looks like "Argonautica" from the Perseus collection is one of the resources that cause this crash. The bug stems from some bad metadata in the resource. We've got a code fix in development that will be released with an upcoming SR (service release) of Logos 6. For now, there is a possible work around

  • Re: Exporting Logos Library/Bibliography to Endnote 6

This does appear to be a spacing issue, although looking at our implementation of RIS export, it seems like there are some other things we can do to provide more/better information. Look for better RIS export support in an upcoming release. Workaround: 1) Delete the 3 blank spaces before the "TY - " lines in the file 2) All the two letter codes should

David, Thanks for the report. I apologize that we haven't looked into this sooner, but it looks like a fixable problem from our end. Look for better RIS export support in a future release. Tom
Does anyone know why no volume number is given when citing the AYBD? Is there any plans to change that fact? Thanks.
Randall, What style are you using? APA 6th edition is the default for Logos 5 and I can confirm that for AYBD there is no volume listed. We just need to update the APA style we're shipping to fix that

  • Re: Crash on Mac 5.2B6: Adding verse to passage guide

Based on the stack trace in the logs, both crashes are a result of the same bug which I just confirmed is not reproducible for me on my development builds of 5.2b. It doesn't look like the fix was in RC2, but it should be on one of the upcoming 5.2b releases.

Jacob, I was able to reproduce it. Looks like there's a bug when adding versions to an existing passage list that could cause a crash on Mac. This should be fixed in an upcoming version.

  • Re: Footnotes without page number on some resources

It looks like both WBC 14 and WBC 1 have some errors in the citation data they are providing. I've filed bugs for those resources. The problem appears to be that WBC 1 is not providing the "article title" field so "Genesis 1-15" become the "title" for the citation. In WBC 14, "Editorial Preface" is the "article title" (which is probably incorrect for
So does this mean that dragging to a Bibliography document doesn't use the Bibliographic Item?
If you mean, "Does it simply copy the formatted bibliography reference as text and paste it in?", the answer is no. It uses what we refer to as "citation fields", which is all the possible citation data about the selection

  • Re: Footnotes without page number on some resources

The lack of page numbers with certain resources when using the Harvard citation style has two do with a couple of things: 1) Logos always uses the Bibliographic style citation when copying footnotes, primarily because it generally gives more information that the footnote style for a traditional "author-date" format like Harvard. For example, In a research
