Jonathan, The indexer does get started when you log in, not when you start the computer. It's in your ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.logos.LogosIndexer.plist To test out if this is the problem, try the following. Change the value after RunAtLoad to and save the file. Then reboot the computer and see if that fixes your issue. Tom Before: RunAtLoad After

  • Re: Just throwing this out there...

Guys, Sorry to hear about your troubles with booting. This is the first we've heard of this, but we definitely want to see if this is A4 related. How much free space do you have on your disks? Can you post your Indexer.log? (See http://community.logos.com/forums/p/3311/27262.aspx for how to post logs). Thanks, Tom

  • Re: Having trouble with Mac Alpha?

Looks like it's missing the space between Software and 4. The other option is this (no \ but surround with ""). And you do need to type the quotes... "/Applications/Logos Bible Software 4.app/Contents/MacOS/Logos Bible Software 4"

Jeffrey, Can you try this for me and see if you get any different results? Open Terminal and type the following command: /usr/bin/ulimit -S -n 1024 Then run the following command from the Terminal window. /Applications/Logos\ Bible\ Software\ 4.app/Contents/MacOS/Logos\ Bible\ Software\ 4

I've been experiencing the same problem on my MacBook at home, but I haven't been able to replicate it at work on my developer workstation. I've put this on my list of crashers to fix so this will definitely get some attention in the next day or two. Are you running Mac OS 10.5 or 10.6? Tom

Hakan, Did you have LDLS 1.2 installed? If so, can you attach your com.libronix.Libronix DLS.plist file from: /Users/ /Library/Preferences/com.libronix.LibronixDLS.plist It looks like you have resources at a path that L4 doesn't like. Tom

  • Re: Having trouble with Mac Alpha?

Dustin, We have tracked down the bug you're having and hope to have it fixed in the next Alpha or possibly the following. The problem is in some third party code so we have to send them a fix and get them to fix the problem. As to your earlier log, it appears that the indexer has completed and you have 2 indexes (the main and the supplemental). For

  • Re: Having trouble with Mac Alpha?

Dustin, You seem to be having an error similar to others in the app that is not easily reproducible. Some of our devs have experienced it and we're working on tracking it down. Can you tell me a little about your machine? What processor and Memory does "About This Mac" report for your machine? (Apple Menu > About This Mac...) Thanks, Tom

  • Re: Preparing your library...?

Dovovan, If it makes your feel any better, I was playing with A3 last night at home and was having trouble with "Enter passage, click go" on the Home page. The app crashed silently about 50% of the time. So I did some digging and diagnosed the problem. I'm going to put it on our high priority list of fixes for next alpha. Tom

Albert, If you want to pick which bibles you want to use, you might try this: Open My Library. Click on the "Prioritize Button". Drag your preferred bibles into the list and arrange them in the order you would like. You can do the same thing with Commentaries and the prioritized list will be used in guides and from the home page. Tom

Jack, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're indexer was running fine. There were no errors, and you were 28% of the way through. You have 2400+ resources, so that will take a while. My MacPro at work is pretty speedy and it took over 14 hours for about 1200 resources. I realize ~60 hours is a long time to index, but it will be worth it. The

  • Re: A-3 Still NOn-Functional

Nathan, Logos 4 wants to be run from /Applications. If you run it from some other location (I.e. your desktop), the app will copy itself to /Applications and run from there. What most people do is right click on the icon in the dock once it's running and click "Keep in Dock". That way you can always lauch the app even if your desktop is covered with

Jeffrey, I've logged this as an issue. We'll start taking a look at it, but for now if you can give me one more piece of information. Open Terminal and run the following command: find / -name libfreetype.6.dylib If you can paste the output that would be great.
