I'm was not aware of that panel and never used it. So my problem is not because that panel is open. I have always used the right click method on highlighted text. And the process of highlighting is where I cannot control what is highlighted

thanks for the quick response. Followup question. I think that is the panel you get when you begin to highlight a section of text and right click? If so how would you copy without that panel opening if you wanted to retain the reference and the text formatting?

Dumb question, but what is the CBV panel?

I have tried turning smart selection off with no change to the problem. I agree that Smart selection is actually quite dumb in the way it acts.

I'm having same problem and it is driving me nuts as it essentially makes it impossible to control what is being copied as it takes in many verses and even whole paragraphs. I had this problem when 6 came out, but it seemed that if I pressed alt key at same time, the highlighting was controlled. Now nothing controls it. This is obviously a very significant

  • Re: Notes and tags

thanks for the explanation, I had not been able to find out how to search for tags before. I still find it a puzzling feature that has so much more power than is presently designed. I sure would be good to get this kind of result in topic search so you searched not only your purchased resources but the ones your had added as well. I'm curious about

  • Re: Notes and tags

I still haven't heard if there is an intended use for tags? I can't find documentation anywhere and so am still confused. It seems like it could be a basis of a powerful tool, but can't figure out that there is actually a way to use them?

  • Highlighting is not working correctly

In Logos 6 when I try to highlight a passage, it seems to have a mind of it's own and starts much earlier and/or goes to the end of an entire paragraph when trying to highlight a phrase for example. It is impossible to select a phrase, it seems to operate by whole verses or paragraphs. Anyone else with this problem, or has a solution it's driving me

  • Re: Visual Copy customization

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I often customize with my own graphics, so until I can build a way to easily change the graphic design and substitute my own background pictures etc. the feature doesn't help me much. But it shows promise and I hope it will continue to develop.

  • Visual Copy customization

The concept of visual copy seems to have some possibilities, but as far as I can tell right now are limited to the pre-defined templates. I would love to see a slide creator that allowed you to design your own slides with your own graphics etc.

  • Re: Notes and tags

Thanks for the description Larry, this is what I'm experiencing as well. I would love to see the tags appear in a Topic Guide so you would have what you had added integrated with the material purchased. I would also like to see them more easily accessible in a regular search, which is why I started with a question about what was intended with the design

  • Re: Notes and tags

This is an interesting feature, but not the subject of my question. When you use that same drop down arrow on the note there is an option to add a tag, which then pops open a tag window at bottom of note in which it appears you can put anything you want. I'm not quite sure on how that is to be used. I can't quite see how you search notes (search window

The reference seems to be about spell check so no it doesn't help with the question My basic questions are: what is the design purpose of this feature (what is this feature supposed to accomplish) How is it meant to be used (Can't find any instructions) How is it meant to be used if it doesn't work cross platform Is this meant to be accessible in search

  • Notes and tags

I see a new feature in notes that seems to indicate that a note can have more than one tag. I have looked at the various videos and other resources and can find nothing that describes how it is intended to be used. Is it searchable for example. It appears that this feature is only available on the desktop version and not the iPhone version (to either

  • Moravian Reading Plan

I see quite a number of reading plans in the product. I wonder if there has been any thought to partnering with the Moravians. They have published their Daily reading (Losungen in German) since 1731 and these readings are used by millions of believers. This would be a great add on to the Logos product.

  • Multiple search tags for notes

There may be a feature that helps that I'm missing, not sure. I find notes extremely frustrating as there is one and one note subject for classification, or searching. It seems the logical solution is a way to have multiple search tags and a search feature to find them. This is a common approach in many other kinds of software. So far I haven't been

  • Re: Official: Minimum Crossgrade and free engine download are coming!

First of all Logos is a business. I appreciate their product, and yes their product helps those in ministry, but they rolled this out in order to get revenue from new and upgrade customers. I own many pieces of software, but none come close my investment in Logos, and for most people it is not an insignficant investment. Scripture also advises we speak

I have no problem with your desire to pay the bills. I have a big investment in content, and so want you to stay in business. But I think this approach will not maximize your revenue. I can't actually figure out what if anything to buy, so my wallet stays shut. A fundamental proposition is that if you want to sell something, the buyer has to understand

  • Re: Search Function Desperately Needs Improvement

Yes, there is a work around, and that is better than none as Matt points out. I think the issue is that it is just more taps, and makes the whole process difficult. I don't know about others, but most of the time I'm doing a word search in the Bible that I have open. I would love to make that the default, and of course search other resources now and

Limitations of the hardware cannot be the real reason since others have written fully functional bible apps for the same platform. I'm forced to use Olive Tree when traveling, which I do much of the time. Maybe there are limitations to putting a whole library on an iphone, but a method to download certain key resources like strongs, one or two sets
