  • Searching for passages in mobile app (iphone)

I must be missing something but in this newer version of the mobile app I'm having difficulty figuring out how to do a simple word search for example. It seems way less intuitive than the old version. Anyway when I do get it to search, the search give chapter and verse but not book so it is almost impossible to use when looking for a longer search list

Bob wrote "Yes, some people do buy the desktop software so they can use the books on the mobile device, but it's just a small fraction of our customers (and thus, of our revenue)." Just a quick comment. This statement suggests that the war may already be lost. With the explosion of mobile devices, if Logos is not a significant part of that market then

I suppose this is a work around if you are desperate, but this resource is not included in any of the packages, and so for most of us after investing hundreds if not thousands in resources, this solution requires another 280. I know the company believes mobile use is a small fraction of their base. I'm sure there is a basis for it. Someone from the

  • Re: Notes

Thanks for the info on sorting, not sure how I missed it. Very helpful. Each note is atached to a single subject (or perhaps keyword). Once attached it cannot be changed, and it can only be one thing. I'm assuming this is meant to help classify notes by subject or topic and aid in searching etc. For many notes, they may apply to more than one subject

  • Notes

Two comments on notes: It seems that there is signficant lag between typing on the keyboard and being accepted into the note. I have observed this on more than one computer so don't think it is the computer, but rather the software design. It is very hard to type a note because with the lags it's always hard to tell where you are. I can't tell how the

  • Notes Architecture Flaw

I am posting this not to be critical, but to offer a perspective for consideration. I have so much invested in these resources that I really want Logos to be successful. It seems the basic architecture of Notes is quite limiting. Each note is associated with one and only one subject (not sure that is the right term). As a result there are at least two

  • Re: Offline Exegesis / Reverse Interlinear

I feel your pain. I travel internationally about 40% of the time, and either connections are not available (airplaines e.g.) or they are so expensive you can't afford to use them. I think Logos has been slow to realize that the mobile world is the future. And no the mobile app is not free, we pay thousands for resources libraries and it is just one

  • Where do the notes go in iphone?

I have been eargerly awaiting notes in the iphone app, but am puzzled how it is supposed to work. It seems to bring my notes from the desktop down ok (only looked at one or two). However, when I attempt to make a note in iphone, it just disappears. I have no idea where it goes, but seems there is a bug somewhere.

  • Re: Highlighting for iPad

of course we all have our own opinions based on how we use the products. I would agree that as a desktop application Logos is very strong. I would disagree, however, about the mobile app rating. At best it is 2 or 3 in my opinion. That will improve if the long promised notes and highlighting comes. However, until it has significant functionality offline

This is one of my most desired updates behind notes syncing. I travel a lot and so use airplane mode a lot. It is very frustrating to not be able to at least do some simple word studies.

I agree that you have an impossible task keeping up with all the platforms. I moved from a competing desktop based product largely because of the perceived benefit that all platforms were synced, and I have bought a fair amount of content since moving. I did not get the mobile app because it was free but because I thought it would allow me to access

  • Re: All I want for Christmas is to highlight and to sync

I would agree that two of the biggest missing features are highlighting and notes (I assume syncing is implied so that it syncs up with your other platforms) The other huge one for me is not being able to really use resources effectively in offline mode because the indexing doesn't work. I travel internationally almost 50% of the time, and you can't

  • Re: Word lookup in esv reverse interlinear is all wrong

I had exactly the same problem although it was on my iphone, it was driving me nuts. It would lookup a word 2-4 words away from the real word. Rebooting doesn't fix it, I agree with that. I had downloaded the ESV as an "airplane" resource so I unclicked the airplane resource and rebooted and now it seems to know where it is again. I then downloaded

  • Re: I have way too many resources on my iPhone

I have almost experimented and hidden resources for your PC don't hide on the mobile app, at least the phone app. I don't know about the ipad app. I appreciate all the resources that are available for Logos 4, but the functions for managing them are seriously deficient and behind the volume of resources. It seems that logically there are several kinds

  • Perseus overload!!

I'm sure this is valuable stuff but what an overload if you don't know all the ancient languages represented in collection. This collection highlights one of the largest flaws in Logos 4. With thousands of items in Latin etc. a lack of the ability to hide or remove groups of items makes this collection almost impossible to deal with. It swamps every

  • Re: Feature Request: Bulk "Available Offline"

I agree 110%. The good news is that if you buy a package there are 100's of resources, and that is also the bad news. I would be great to use radio buttons to turn resources on and off (the airplane format in Mobile is not it since it requires going in and out of every single resource). Would also love to be able to turn off whole groups of resources
