  • Re: Commentary on Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar

I am sad to see Dr Heiser leave Logos. Reformatting will not help at all. It is the style that the English is written i that is the problem. It is very difficult to understand. I believe that it was translated from German. Perhaps a German style does not translate easily into English. Also, I find that German scholarship is too thorough so much so that

  • Commentary on Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar

It would be an amazing help to have someone in Logos (eg Mr Heiser) write a commentary on Gesenius' Hebrew grammar. I find Gesenius very difficult to follow. A commentary on it explaining what Gesenius meant (if anything at all in some places) by what he wrote would help a lot. Maybe even better would be to write a Hebrew grammar that includes every

  • Re: Ancient Greek and Hebrew Fonts on Logos

None of these fonts are the font that the Jews used just before they went to Babylon. One of your fonts is a much older font. I need that font because I can read things in the British Museum that use that font. Eg for the Shebna Tomb Lintol dated about 700BC. Evyoni Palaeo is the same font as the one used just before the Jews went to Babylon. I can

  • Re: Ancient Greek and Hebrew Fonts on Logos

Hi, I can't get these fonts to work with Logos. The fonts don't use the modern Greek or Hebrew keyboards. You have to use the English ones to get them to work in Word for Windows. I have tried to convert things that I have copied from Logos into Word. In Word the Logos Greek and Hebrew don't convert into these old fonts at all. Evyoni Palaeo is the

  • Ancient Greek and Hebrew Fonts on Logos

I would like to have ancient Greek and Hebrew fonts on Logos. It would give me practice so that I will be more able to read from the o ri ginal manuscripts . It will also make the Bibles seem more authentic than they do with modern fonts. I will be more able to put myself back in time to when they were originally written. They will also be more enjoyable

  • An Outine of Greek Accidence by J Usher. Publisher: Duckworth 2013

I recommend this book for Logos. It is simply Greek tables of Greek morphology without any confusing extras. This book is the simplest and easiest way to find word endings in Greek. It will be very useful for readers of New Testament Greek or classical Greek. I have just sent off for a copy myself after having seen it in a bookshop.

  • Learning Greek and Hebrew with another Logos Customer to Help Moral

I think that it would help a lot if Logos set up some sort of portal where Logos customers can get together over the internet and learn difficult subjects together like Greek and Hebrew . It would help a lot with keeping moral up. People could arrange a time each week when they would meet up on the internet maybe with skype or just type comments to

Thanks. The Hebrew does look very good. I am looking forward to when you finish the Greek. Even if you can do it in sections it will be good.

Thanks for that about the exegetical guide. I think that does answer my point very well. It looks like they have improved the exegetical guide since I last looked at it. It looks tidier. I had forgotten about it. I will look into it and try it out.

  • Grammar links in every verse of the Bible to Greek & Hebrew grammar books that we have bought

I would like you to provide original language Bibles that have links that we can click on that take us directly to relevant grammar articles in each of our original language grammars that we own in Logos. You would need to go though the Bible verse by verse in the original languages and find grammatical points that are relevant in each verse . Then

  • Alignment (full view) of the top line of text at the top of the window every time I scroll down the text

Would it be possible to align the text when scrolling? It would be good to fully see the top line of text in each window when I scroll down each line of the text with the mouse or the arrow key. When I scroll down each line of the text I find that the top line of text is often only partially visible in the window. The tops of the letters are often chopped

  • Resource Panel Background Colour Addition in Accessibility in Program Settings

Hi, I would like to have a light reddish colour on the Resource Panel Background in the Accessibility in the program Settings. I would like this because I can look at Logos before I go to bed and the bright bluish screen will not keep me awake. Blue or similar colours keep you awake. Red is better before going to bed so that I can more easily sleep

  • Logos 6 Crashed after loading my books after 20 minutes.

Logos 6 crashed after I loaded my books in my layout. Every time that I loaded Logos 6 with my 20 books loaded it crashed after about 10 minutes to 40 minutes. I have loaded Logos 6 about 7 times and it crashed every time. I have done nothing absolutely apart from load the books in my normal layout. If I don't load the books it does not crash. I did

  • Logos 6 stopped working and crashed when I loaded my books after about 20 minutes.

I started Logos 6 by double clicking on the Logos 6 icon. I then pressed and held the Ctrl key so that I can get the error report. It loads with no books loaded on Logos. I left it for hours. It did not crash. I then loaded my normal set of about 20 books on my normal layout. After about 20 minutes it crashed. I did no work at all on Logos apart from

  • Have two or more versions of Bible verses displayed when hovering over scripture references in the software

It would be good to have two Bible versions or more when hovering over highlighted scripture references in the software. This would be good for me because I am studying Hebrew. I could see the Hebrew and the English at the same time. This will save me finding the Hebrew in the Hebrew version and flicking back and forward between it and the English version

  • Re: Analytical key to the Old Testament

Yes it is keyed to BDB as you say. The key is useless because it only the page number of where the word is in BDB. It doesn't take you to the word in BDB. It takes you to the top of the page where the word is in BDB. This is a useful if you only have a paper copy of BDB. I do find that I can sometimes get definitions in the lexicons when I click on

  • Analytical key to the Old Testament

I would be very good if I could click on the Hebrew words of the Old testament of AKOT and get the Hebrew lexicon to move to the definition of that word. This would work like the other Hebrew Bibles in Logos. At the moment I have to go to another Hebrew Bible if I want further detail on a word in Hebrew.

  • Highlight Number Within Every Defintion for Each Word in Nestle Aland 28 and Hebrew 4.18 Versions

Please highlight the definition number within each definition for the latest original language versions. This would mean that 1 and the a that follows would be highlighted when bereshit (first word in Hebrew of Gen (1:1) is looked up in the BDB lexicon. • Re: Highlighting does not highlight exactly what I want.

Thanks. I tried what you said to do. It worked perfectly. I think that it would be good if Logos sets the default setting to "No". I think that most people will want to control exactly what they want to highlight. I can't see the benefit of the "Yes" option.

  • Highlighting does not highlight exactly what I want.

I try to highlight something. In Logos 6 I find that it might highlight one word correctly for example. If I want to highlight 2 words together then it will not let me. It will force me to highlight 3 or 4 words together that I do not want to highlight. I cannot make it just do the 2 words that I want. If I want to highlight a few more words then it
