[quote user="JosephBEvans"] Richard, thanks for your reply. I have read about usage stats but I for one typically do not allow programs to report back statistics. It's a security and privacy issue for me. I don't know how many users send data back and forth to Logos but I doubt I was one. Usage stats seem to be an excuse to explain slow development

  • Re: NIV available in iPHONE?

Can anyone from Logos give us an update as to whether this is likely to come out anytime soon/if at all? If it just plain isn't going to be in the Ipod app at all, I'd prefer to know that rather than wait hopefully and become more and more disappointed over time. I imagine that this delay reflects on the greed of the company owning the NIV/NVI more

  • Re: How to Make It a Five Star

How to make it a five star: 1) NIV, Reina Valera, NVI, NA27 - without these, I'll continue to spend more time on other Bible apps when on the go. 2) Offline w/o bugs, all Bibles in my L4 library available offline Extra Credit: 1) Split screen (like in Olive Tree) - this would allow Greek/Hebrew on half the screen and the Lexicon on the other half. Much

  • Re: Reading Books Offline

My experience so far has been somewhat patchy. Some sources have downloaded well (Lenski books, Concordia Trig English, ESV), others have lead to the program crashing (BHS, TDNT, BDB Enhanced). Also, none of the Spanish Bibles currently are working for download (where is the Reina Valera? I'm pretty sure that is no longer under copyright.) I'm thankful

  • Re: Lenski Commentaries

Honestly, I'm surprised these licenses weren't obtained sooner. How long ago was it determined that there would be an Ipod app? Were people working on getting the publisher's approval already at that time? And if they knew that they were only going to be able to offer 20% of the licenses (or less) when the program was initially offered, why wouldn't

  • Re: Logos for iPhone

Agreed. One of the reasons I upgraded immediately to Logos 4 was because of the hype of the Ipod Touch app. I was very excited to have my library with me in my pocket. Yet, here we are, a month after the release. And the app is fairly useless to me because they still haven't gotten the licenses for some of the most basic and commonly used books (NIV

  • Re: How long does it take to approve an order?

Yeah, I learned about academic sales today. I never realized that there was a discount for Seminary students before, which is really neat for those of us who haven't graduated yet. I wish this was better advertised (or maybe I just haven't noticed all of the advertisements).

Just got off the phone. Apparently, because I made a purchase through the "Academic Sales" department, the sale has to be approved by hand. The salesperson mentioned it can take up to three hours for them to get around to approving it (yikes!).

Shouldn't be a credit card problem on my end, as I pointed out I used it about a month ago for a smaller purchase.

  • How long does it take to approve an order?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for an order to be approved. I made a rather sizeable (at least for me) purchase today of some books, many of which are downloadable. I received an email (immediately after completing the "transaction") over an hour ago stating that my order had been placed, but was waiting on approval. I'm still

  • Re: Thoughts regarding library storage: online vs. local storage

I like your thinking Amy. That makes a lot of sense. A lot of the apps in the Itunes store are like that, with the free "light version" and the more complete and useful "full version". I would absolutely pay for the ability to store my books on my Ipod assuming I could choose the books that I wanted (NIV, Book of Concord, NA27, BDAG, BHS, BDB etc.)

  • Re: Clippings Video set to Private

Right, I have watched most of the other videos too. My guess it was just a mistake on their part when adding it to youtube. Should be a simple fix. Edit: It's up and working now.

  • Clippings Video set to Private

I can't watch the video on clippings as it seems to be set as a private video on Youtube. I look forward to watching it and learning more about clippings once it becomes available to the public. :)

  • Re: TODAY: Send greetings to the Logos 4 ship party!

Thanks so much for your hard work. The new program is excellent and I'm sure will only get better and better each day. Only a program like yours can make selling my only means of transportation a temptation so I could afford to buy the portfolio package. A seminary student can dream right? Any way, thanks again, keep up the good work. PS - After the

  • Re: Clippings have SO MUCH promise....

Is there a way to print clippings? Or copy them into a Word document? I would always open "notefile summary" in Logos 3 and copy it into word. Is that possible in Logos 4?

  • Re: Like it? Rate it! (Encourages us to work harder...)

I'm one of those who is waiting to give my rating. Once I can access the books I have in my reading plans (NIV, BoC Tappert, Proper Distinction Walther, NVI) and gives access to at least a portion of my library offline (the books that I want to have with me) I'll give it a 5 star rating. Until then I wait. I see holding off with my rating as an incentive

  • Re: Reading list SYNC

Ok, then this makes a lot of sense (I was wondering why my NIV Bible plan wasn't loading). Weird thing is, I have the NIV in my Iphone bookshelf, but clicking on it tells me I don't have permission to use it. I'm hoping that they get the licenses for the NIV, Book of Concord (Tappert), and The Proper Distinction (Walther) soon as those are the three

Ok, now it is working, which is a step in the right direction. How do I change which lectionary shows up on there? I would prefer that the CW Three Year Lectionary be the one that shows up, rather than the Revised Common Lectionary.

  • Re: Lectionary

I hope so too. This is one thing that I use on a weekly basis. Like others have said, upon opening the program, if I go down to "customize" it says it's there. However, when I either 1)try to change it's place in the order, it disappears. OR 2) If I don't do that and hit the arrows on the top panel to view it, it disappears then too. No matter what
