I've watched some online videos - trying to figure out the Syntax Search tool in Logos 5. But no matter what I do, it seems like my search always returns 0 results. I am trying to do a search of the Greek preposition "dia" that is followed by either an noun or adjective in the accusative tense. I know for a fact that dia takes the accusative in a number

I do not have it running on a second computer. This has happened to you three times?!?!? If that is the case it is a fairly major flaw in Logos. I'll have to save a copy of my collection file in Dropbox in the future, because it seems like the Logos server is just not dependable. This sure doesn't leave me feeling too confident of taking my notes in
-
I don't have it running on a second computer and I didn't make a backup. So it sounds like I am pretty much up a creek. Hours of work lost...

I went to use one of my custom Bible Study guides and noticed that all the collections that I had spent so much time putting together were gone. I looked in collections and all of them have disappeared. Has anyone else had this happen? Any way of getting them back? I hadn't used my custom Bible Study guide in a few months, so this could have happened

I went through all of my non-microsoft software on my computer. The only two programs on my computer that failed to maintain their orientation after being minimized were Libronix 3 and Logos 4. Not saying that I don't believe you that there are other programs with this bug, but this is not a common problem with most software, and is something that should

So it sounds like it isn't just my computer then. Is this a problem that would be difficult to fix? My Windows 7 is 64-bit Home Premium. Intel Core2Solo CPU U3500 1.4 GHz (yes, I know, I need a computer upgrade), 4 GB RAM
-
Not sure if anyone has noted this bug. In Windows 7 there is a split screen option, where you drag a window to the side and it fills half the screen. If I minimize the Logos window after doing this, and then try to bring it back up it does not retain its orientation on the screen. It almost always ends up pushed off the side of the screen. I've discovered

Ok, just went back and checked my Iphone again, and the reading plans have now appeared. There must be a few problems with the server that sends this information to the Iphones/Ipods/Ipads.
-
I'm also having this problem. I decided to do my Bible study plan with "La Biblia de las Américas" and another with Tappert´s edition of the Book of Concord. So far...all I have available to me is the Bible Study plan that can´t be deleted no matter how many times I hit the delete button. Is there an amount of time that it takes for the reading plans

You are correct that I am looking for a desktop. I have a laptop which should hopefully last me another year or two, but it struggles with Logos 4. I'm not really looking for a Mac, however. I'm just much more comfortable with Windows. Thanks for the heads up on the processor. I'm probably going to buy the computer this summer, so it sounds like I'll
-
I'm looking at buying a new desktop computer sometime in the next year or so to serve as my primary office/study computer. Now I should clarify. I have read the minimum/recommended settings for Logos 4, so I understand where those are set at. My question is more in line with, what type of improvements (if any) am I likely to see by upgrading in the

I never said, "no matter the cost". That's putting words in my mouth. I've believe I've seen the NIV offered for as cheap as $5 in the App store. It would seem to me that LOGOS could probably work out a similar deal. That is hardly "unaffordable". To be frank, by all appearances if we are going to hold our breath until Zondervan freely offers the NIV

"I guess I was taught to stand on principles for the greater good." Snarky, pastor, very snarky. I also was taught this. And would it not be for the greater good to allow access to the most popular Bible? Why should the largest group of Bible readers have to resort to subpar translations in order to receive their daily bread of life? Or have to resort

Well, no mater how you look at it Rev Todd, the Bible you use in your day to day ministry isn't being withheld from you. Imagine if just the ESV was being withheld from the program. Would you not be clamouring for the same exact thing? I suspect you would be. Just how slippery of a slope it would be to charge for the mobile rights of perhaps the most

Except there isn't nearly the demand for the other products, so the idea that other companies will be able to get a lot of money by withholding their licenses doesn't hold a lot of water in my mind. NIV is the most popular Bible in the US, which gives it a tremendous amount of leverage. I hate how Zondervan is playing hard ball, but when you are a

If the problem is that they want us to pay for the license a second time, then why can't Logos just give us that option? I for one would gladly pay to have it on my iphone. At the very least Logos could give us that option instead of doing nothing. I, too, have stopped using Logos' app for this same reason. If I can't use the Bibles (NIV, NVI) that

This happened to me twice in the past 24 hours. Poof, for some reason the program logged me out. I log back in and all the books I spent hours downloading (slow internet) are gone. This never happened to me before uploading to 1.4.1, so the idea that it is getting better seems to be untrue, at least in my case to this point. This has become quite frustrating
-
I thought of that, but considering that there are a number of Bible apps with the NIV, I don't think that would be very likely. I suppose that it's a possibility though.

Here is what Bob wrote about the NIV on Iphone/Ipod Touch.... "This is 100% out of our control. We don't own the NIV, and need permission from the people who do. We are doing everything we can to get them to give us permission. (Well, everything short of criminal threats! ... But this suggestion notes that the omission is "inexcusable" and the "how

Vote on getting the NIV on the Iphone. Let's make the case loud and clear that we want this on the Iphone/Ipod touch. http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/606791-make-niv-available-on-iphone-ipod-touch
