Logos Still Has Fuzzy Bible Search This reply is, of course, years after the orginal post, but perhaps it will help others who end up here later. Although there is no longer a feature entitled "Fuzzy Search," you can still accomplish a Fuzzy Search in Logos by doing this: Open a Search window Select: "Basic" (search) Change search parameter to: Search

Deleting a Collection in Logos 7 Go to Tools/Collections Under "Collections" click on "Open" Scroll down until you find the name of the Collection you wish to delete -- then right click it and select "delete."

I use mostly the ESV, but occasionally the NASB95. Both have reverse interlinears available.

I have Logos 6 Gold, and am a Logos Now subscriber. My Logos icon shows to be "Logos 7." But when I try your precise example -- right clicking on "Shepherd" in Matthew 2:6 -- no option for figurative language Category: Metaphor... appears in the right side menu. Where am I going wrong? Thank you.

"James Taylor" I was treated as if I'd made a pact with him to never purchase any other way. It was very strange. James, I had the identical thing happen to me about a eighteen months ago. And I had even previously referred a friend (to that salesperson) who purchased Logos 6 Silver. I have been a Logos user for ~16 years and have purchased through

** The Crossgrade is actually the real 'upgrade' from L4 to L5 and is priced attractively. However for the best bang-for-buck a lot of people are going to L5 Silver then getting the Crossgrade. If one buys the Crossgrade after the Logos 5 Silver 'expansion' then the Crossgrade price drops to about $6. ** That's correct. I upgraded from L 4 Scholars

Last week I upgraded from Scholars 4 (with over $5,000 worth of additional books) to Silver 5. It cost me a little over $400. I did not particularly want all of the books that came with Silver 5 even at the discounted prices (there were a few useful commentaries, but I had already purchased better ones). What I did want was the Logos 5 Framework and

I have not checked to see exactly how much work (what degree of change) needs to be done before Logos accepts the second computer as the latest one used and syncs their server to that one. I just use the laptop (second computer) off line for whatever work I need to do at that time and then reconnect it to the internet and restart Logos. There does appear

No. I just disconnect the ethernet cable and when you open Logos a menu will pop up telling you it can't find an internet connection and asks you if you want to "Work Offline." Just click on work "Work Offlilne" and Logos will open. Later, when I am finished with my work, I reconnect the eithernet cable and restart Logos and it will automatically syncronize

True also. I installed an NVIDIA 2 GIG DDR-5 Graphics card and it made a significant improvement in Logos 4 performance. BTW, with the Logos 4 latest version (with Logos loaded on my SSD), Logos 4 is now loading in 14 seconds.

I have done similar things. But what if this happens over a weekend? What I have done is this: I have a desktop AND a laptop, each with Logos 4. I use both frequently so both stay synchronized with each other. Should I accidentally delete, or otherwise mess up something terribly (let's say on my desktop), the data is still uncorrupted on my laptop

I know what you mean. I upgraded to a Crucial M4 Solid State Drive and now Logos 4 Scholar's (with 1300 books) opens in 19 seconds. Also, scrolling and commentary loading is much much faster.
-
I also have the Crucial M4 128 GiG SSD. I bought it just to speed up Logos 4, and it works fantastically. My Logos 4 Scholar's Edition, with nearly 1300 books, opens in 18 seconds (on start-up, my desktop is ready to go in about 28 seconds). Also, the retrieval of commentaries and scrolling is much much faster. I would highly recommend getting an SSD

Hi Clark, I had the same issue last week and simply phoned Logos Customer Service and gave them the License/Serial number. They activated my collection immediately and when I reopened Logos 4, the collection automatically downloaded from the Logos server (you don't have to 'load' the disc). I have suggested to Logos that they add an "activate license

>> Did you realize Ctl-Z does an undo on a [accidentally deleted] note? but did not notice what the note was , I just go to my laptop, open Logos 4 off-line (otherwise, the sync process will delete the same note on my laptop), find the note and email it to myself and copy and past it back into my desktop. This is somewhat of a bother, but better than

>> "Logos Bible Software 4 Indexer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I experienced the exact same problem as soon as I downloaded the recent 1 + GIG Logos 4 update. But Logos tech support told me to force a re-index and that solved the problem (at least so far).
