• Custom Highlight Issue

I created a custom pallet with colors that appear to be identical to the "highlighting pens" palette that's built into Logos, but in low light mode my custom palette does not show up correctly. It's very hard to read as you can see below. Any ideas on how I can make my custom palette highlight look the same as the built in highlighters? I'm unable to

  • Re: Of those who upgraded to Logos 7

Mainly the books for me. I'm just a lay person so the Sermon Editor has no value for me even though it's supposed to be a big new feature. I ended up getting Standard Bronze for the mobile ed NT211 class because I was interested to check it out. I'm coming from a Logos 6 Platinum library so this was a very inexpensive upgrade. $69 for the library. So

Does your machine have an SSD (solid state hard drive)? That's the biggest upgrade you could do. An SSD makes Logos much quicker. It still won't be lightning fast, but acceptably fast.

The Moody Handbook of Theology by Paul P. Enns please! Josh, If you're willing to look at slightly used devices, you could get a Surface Pro 3 for around $650 with the Type Cover. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Surface-Pro-3-256GB-Core-i5-8GB-RAM-Type-Cover-Pen-Bundle-Excellent-/182142726578?hash=item2a688d71b2:g:ji0AAOSwQjZXQfIz I've been using the Pro 3 for over a year now and it runs Logos 6 flawlessly
I would say they are worth it for that price. Visually a very good resource with much good information - occasionally great information. However, I would only recommend this set for those who already have an extensive commentary library. If you are building your library this money would be far better spent on other sets or
What a deal! Total value if sold separately: $89.95 Your exclusive price: $159.99
Purchase the titles you don't have individually. There's only a $2 difference between buying them separately versus the bundle.

  • Re: Logos 6 performace

The issue is the slow 5400rpm hard drive in that model and laptops in general. If you want snappy performance, Logos needs to be installed on an SSD. I find that Logos doesn't require much processing power or ram to run well. It needs a lightning fast SSD. So having an i7 processor and 8gb of ram isn't going to be enough to get your desired performance

Sad that Bock doesn't look like he'll win. I hope his 2 volume commentary on Luke will be included in the sale.

Amazing deals on some of those resources. I'd be interested in picking them up if Logos matched the promo.

  • Re: Systematic Theology For Laymen

Thanks everyone for all the input. I think I'm going to go with Grudem/Erickson for the Reformed/Calvinist side and Oden for the Wesleyan/Arminian side. I'll start with Erickson since I already have it. I have Grudem and Oden on my wishlist. I also own Our Legacy: The History of Christian Doctrine which I purchased on sale. So I think I have enough

  • Systematic Theology For Laymen

I'm a layman interested in reading about Systematic Theology to combine with my reading on hermeneutics (Grasping God's Word). Wayne Grudem's work has been recommended by many, but it is also my understanding that this generally a good book for those coming from a Reformed perspective. How would you compare this to Michael Horton's more recent work

I'm chiming in as another layperson who has found Logos immensely useful and certainly worth the price of admission. The usefulness of having a resource with Logos tagging is not just marketing hype as I've found in my own experience. I've owned books in Kindle and OliveTree over the years and repurchased them in Logos. It's not just for the sake of

You need to hit the small arrow next to "Bible text only" to show the other options. See the red box I've drawn below. Edit: I think I misread your full question. What base package do you have? I think the other missing options may be related to that.
Have you looked in House's Charts of Christian Theology & Doctrine ?
I haven't heard of his charts before. This may be what I'm looking for. Are these charts available in Logos? I did a quick search and didn't find it.
