  • Re: Which WBC volumes do you recommend?

Thanks for all the input and the OP for starting this thread. I ended up making my purchase tonight. I think I've rounded out my commentaries enough to last years and years. Or until Logos 7 comes out. Volume 1: Genesis 1–15 Volume 2: Genesis 16–50 Volume 4: Leviticus Volume 7A: Joshua 1–12 (Second Edition) Volume 7b: Joshua 13–24 (Second Edition) Volume

[quote user="Geo Philips"] Hi, I was just peeking through the new NIV SB. I found the OT Chronology timeline chart to be really small and no way to open it separately into a bigger view. Interestingly enough, it works better in Biblia/Logos web app because you can right-click and choose to view the image in a new browser tab. Any ideas on how to do

[quote user="John Fidel"] Michael, You have picked most of the best ones. If your library is like mine, it is NT heavy. I actually use WBC a lot when in the OT. I have the entire set, but if I did not, would compare the bestcommentaries.com list and consider OT commentaries that are in the top 4, unless you are covered with the NICOT as the top commentary

  • Upcoming WBC Sale, Rounding Out My Commentary Collection, Need Suggestions

With the upcoming sale on WBC and the price increase to follow, I'm looking to acquire some volumes of the set. Based on what I've read and how Best Commentaries rates the set, it seems the quality varies quite a bit in this commentary set. So at this point I'm not sure if it'll be worth buying the entire set versus picking up 20-30 volumes for $9.99

They confirmed the servers were down. It wasn't just the websites. I wasn't able to synchronize with Logos either while the servers were down.

I agree that 2 monitors or more is better than one. For 27" monitors, this one is pretty good, but not cheap: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009C3M7H0/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687762&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B009H0XQQY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=01SH6XPXPFYN6R98P45A I'm currently using 2 older 25.5" 1080p monitors

I also have a desktop with an overclocked i5 with 24gb of ram. All my computers have SSD's. I have noticed 0 performance differences between these setups. That is to

Good morning, Logos 6 is freezing when I try to highlight certain passages. This morning it was Proverbs 5:21-23. I was able to reproduce this one 2 different machines both running Logos 6.3 SR-1. This happened yesterday as well on a different passage in Proverbs but I don't remember which one. The first machine is a Surface Pro 3 i5/8gb ram/256gb SSD

Base Packages will be a lot cheaper per book , but then you'll have a lot more books which you might never use. Be aware, however, that sometimes the "fluff" proves to be useful! Bundles

I've found that the SSD makes the most difference, so get the fastest one you can get. An i5 processor and 8gb of ram is sufficient. I don't notice any difference throwing more ram or CPU at it. All 3 of the machines I have Logos on runs it pretty much the same, but the ram and CPU are all different. The only thing they have in common is an SSD drive
