• Re: Lemma vs. Strongs Number?
Please excuse my ignorance as I am learning the original languages. My question is what is the difference between the Logos Lemma and the Strong's Number? From what I am seeing it seems to be basically the same thing?
To restate what has been concluded above, the entry behind the Strong's number is usually the

  • Re: Logos on Shared Computers

The Logos EULA has always had a scammy feel to it, imo. Never in history has it been a condition of purchase that only one user is allowed to use a multi-volume encyclopedia. Imagine World Book or Encyclopedia Brittanica trying to make that swing when they were first going into business. You would have NEVER HEARD OF THEM, period. Frankly, it's stupid

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Francis Schaeffer's "Genesis in Space and Time"

Actually, I do have that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I searched the website rather than my library, and as you say, The Complete Works seems to no longer be available, which is why I didn't find it...and so I bought a used copy on ebay.

  • SUGGESTION: Francis Schaeffer's "Genesis in Space and Time"

I did a search and this title does not appear to be available in Logos. Is that correct? It seems there was a discussion on the forum about this title a few years back. If it isn't available, it should be.
Sunday School is not the place to dominate the discussion by quoting technical commentaries.
Really? And why is that? Personally, I think it's the perfect place to bring "technical" issues into the light.

I feel like I should take the time to figure out what's being described here. It sounds useful.
Am I missing something?
No. Like I said, HALOT is supremely overrated, and BDAG is somewhat less so. Not saying you can't get use/value out of them...just probably not enough to justify the cost, based on your own depiction of what you are doing.

  • Re: Welcome to the Messianic Jewish Products forum!
With that said, one weakness is that Logos doesn't seem to have much to help some stand alone guy learn Hebrew. I can listen to Dr. Futado and his course is great. I can also continue to use Dr. Heiser's videos on how to use the hebrew interlinear bibles (very good resource, just expensive and out of date in that it uses Logos

  • Just noticed I had an offer for 25% off on Logos Ultimate...that expired last month.

I might have actually taken advantage of that, but for the "now or never" mechanism. At this point, Logos has left many thousands of my money on the table because of the "limited time offer" gimmick. I've mentioned this phenomenon before. I rarely have the ability to immediately jump on a high ticket offer. The humorous thing is that I deposited a one

  • SUGGESTION: Leibniz's "Theodicy"

Stunned that I don't find this book in Logos...unless it's sandwiched in somewhere. Critical and foundational reference that MUST be made available.

That is still available on Amazon, but

I believe Swanson also has a similar dictionary on Greek, but have not yet used the Greek edition.
This is the resource I was going to promote. I own BDAG & HALOT , but I don
