• Re: The Message (a Hebrew question)

Minor point...OP says the verse in question is v. 9...actually, it's v. 8. Dahood is wrong...silly wrong. Sillier still? Attaching the word "bible" to "The Message". As a broken clock is right twice a day, so occasionally is Peterson...but not enough to take it (or him) seriously.

I expected it to end at some point...then I realized it would when I would. I added a couple of ideas too...the "disappearing" pop-ups have to go! It's almost as if the coders are yanking our chains: "bet you can't read all 50 words of this preview pop-up in 3 seconds!"

  • That's a DAC, Jack!

DAC...as in Dictionary of the Apostolic Church , to be exact. This resource appears to be the next Hastings CP resource that is ready to make a move to the production bin. This one could go out the door for the $4 price if we can just get the same folks who bid on GMWB to take the plunge. People...there's no reason not to just put in your bid at $12

At this price point it is almost irresponsible not to bid on this resource--considering that it is a Hastings resource, I would say that it definitely crosses that line. Just think, if it hits six bucks, that would be $1 per volume . Considering the thousands I have invested in Logos, this deal just makes me smile...

their latest iPhone...how many weeks before that Droid app is ready??? 2? 3? Just wondering...cuz I'd rather have my wisdom teeth pulled than ever buy anything Apple. Not that they aren't a fabulous company with great products...I just get hives and heebee-jeebies every time I handle one of them. I'm thinking about renewing my phone contract, and I

Yes, Rosie, I have Portfolio too, and I am slowly going through and renaming each title with a prefix so that I can keep track of my library. With multi-volume collections I also number them into biblical order. That's when I noticed the "hmmm" moment... I basically am just wondering if those two items were added later?

  • College Press OT Commentary

Why aren't Job and Minor Prophets 2 (Nahum-Malachi) listed on the CPNIVCOT page? Is it an oversight or are they not included? Btw, the CPNIVCNT 2 Cor. Info description is missing a noun: "Second Corinthians plunges the modern reader back to the real, tumultuous of early Christianity."

  • Re: Anchor Yale Bible: Old Testament

I'm not an expert on this collection, but I think some of the volumes are written from what I would consider a goofy perspective, (i.e. source criticism/documentary hypothesis drivel). That doesn't mean you can't cull helpful or useful info from these sources, but their perspective IMO makes much of what they say nonsense. Others are entitled to their

  • Re: Logos 4 Notes - Template Please
I have a number of templates that I'd made in Word and added to Logos notes - unfortunately, they were table based. The lack of support for tables in Notes is by far the biggest issue I have with Logos 4. Such a big step backwards in data collection and presentation
To piggyback on MJ's "presentation" lament, I have

Btw, 50 volumes at $160 is an absurd $3.20 per volume...that's an incredible deal. The only thing I'd rather see go into production ahead of this is Hastings Encyclopaedia of Religion and Ethics which is one of the best Bible resources around. It's on PrePub too. Bid on both folks! You won't be disappointed.

This may just open up Logos as a legitimate software option for Jewish students of the scriptures. I hope the happy coincidence of my request and the appearance on PrePub means the title will

  • Please, please...

I spend about 5-15 hours a day in Logos, and each day I come across at least 5-15 references to the Talmud in dictionaries, encyclopedias, historical sources like Josephus & Philo, as well as many monographs on a variety of topics. Yet we don't have copies of the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds available in Logos format. Why? My question is more to
Gunkel's Legends of Genesis is available in Classic Commentaries and Studies on Genesis (22 Vols.) .
See, I told you I would place an order for it...I preordered that when it hit my screen! At far less than $10 per title, that package is a steal. One of my over $12k of PrePubs in the pipe. All of those titles sound like ones I would place orders for--you should submit Suggestions for them if you haven't already. Anything with the word Schöpfung in the title has to be a smacking good read! Rather like "Smuckers", eh?

Well, slow and steady wins the race, I suppose. We finally have one of the Hastings CP items that have crossed the threshold! This item is a gimme at the current price, so everyone should jump on board--and the price will go even lower! In case you aren't familiar with Hastings, his dictionaries and encyclopedia are high quality resources with tremendous
