Ever notice the tag cloud there on the right? The three largest tags should perhaps give Logos a bit of a pause for reflection, if not an outright jolt: bug Logos 4 Notes Random coincidence? I think not. Whether it is or not, it should "bug" all of us that bug has such a prominent and conspicuous place in the cloud. Take Notes , Logos , 4 the "collective

Today we made a massive investment in @ Logos ' future;
Did anyone actually read what he said? They are investing in @Logos, the Logos Twitter name/presence. My guess is that they're investing more time into tweeting as a platform for promoting Logos and announcing Logos information. IMHO

Basically Bob told me that what I want just isn't going to happen. Maybe that will change--if my hometown team the Saints can win the Superbowl, I suppose nearly anything is possible. But we will probably have to riot to get it on the drawing board. I know that I OFTEN have people ask me about the

  • Baker & Zondervan tidbit...

At the time I post this there are 11,898 reads of the Zondervan discussion and 9,805 reads of the Baker discussion. I think it's safe to say there is a great deal of interest in these two publishers and their offerings...and likewise I think it's safe to say a fair deal of disappointment. I hear the arguments that Bob makes about the state of the publishing

Wait...what is this I am reading??!! MJ...are you really "agreeing" with something I have posted? Can this be true?? Perhaps I should run outside and see if Jupiter has aligned with Mars! Have we returned to the Age of Aquarius?!?!?! Who says miracles don't happen!!! [ [<:o)]

I also feel that the notes aspect of L3/L4 is nearly as important as the search function that it is so superlative at performing. In fact, I am currently writing a book and I am essentially composing a great deal of it using the notes function of L3. I have been a detractor of L4 generally because, of the 10-20 things that are most important to the

The thing I would most like to see that is new to notes compared to L3 would be an UNDO function. The current notes in L3 (which I am still using daily) don't have this function, and if something is accidentally erased...it's just a long gone pecawn. That can be and has been disastrous. I don't know exactly how it happens but sometimes a highlighted

  • Niggling issue

I realize it's not the biggest deal in the world, but it is persistent and irksome none the less. When I close L4 and then reopen it, the contents panel always reverts back to being about 2 inches wide. True, all I have to do is slide it over to the 1/2 to 3/4 in. width I prefer, but I shouldn't have to do that. Wherever I set it is where it should

  • Notes Transfer

I was intentionally away from the internet for about six weeks and I'm not sure if the Notes transfer from 3 to 4 has taken place or is still in the pipe. I know that a recent update of 4 hasn't resulted in my notes showing up. What's the sitch? Thanks.

  • Re: Pre Pub Pricing ( Baker Books)

A variety of issues come up in this thread, and some of them get confused. Worse, some people make suggestions to fix things that would do exactly the opposite. As some have correctly pointed out, the PrePub idea (which is a Logos concept, not a "generic" idea fundamental to e-books) is to offer discounts to those who help Logos cover production costs

I understand the concern of Logos and publishers who want to protect their business, but the "fuzzy" and "hedged" answer that Bob gives isn't without cause. The idea that I can buy $10,000 worth of E-BOOKS (X's & O's), with another $10K in the PrePub pipe, and my son can't read them at his leisure is to me the pinnacle of absurdity. Maybe I should be

Is there are way that I can let my son have access on his computer to my library without giving him access to my notes, or more specifically, the ability to change or alter my notes?

Hiya Forum Fans! I need a fix and you are the folks to ask! I have set up my layout based on John Fidel's suggestions (thanks!) but I'm getting unwanted "output". I had a vision that told me that anyone who uses Reverse Interlinears is doomed to Hell, so I choose to use a real interlinear in my guide. The problem is, every time my guide reopens, I get

Obviously, in a package the size of Portfolio you're likely to come across things that strike you as filler. I generally have little interest in "Bible Studies" such as might be used in a small group...precisely because of stuff like the following: Ummm...am I really supposed to "put myself in the shoes" of this bunch? What an odd and goofy suggestion

This isn't exactly on topic, but it's not too far off either. At the Camp Logos seminar I became aware that the notes pop-up in L4 is tiny...about an inch and a half square. Bob himself told me that this was by design...apparently because some people complained about notes pop ups becoming so big that they covered the screen. That one floored me. I

  • Help me out please...

In L3 I do a search a get a list that look like this: The blue verse references give me both a pop-up with a complete example of the verse in question (without my having to scroll right to see it), and I can click the blue link to go to that in my bible. Simple. L4...not so much. I do a search and I get this: Never mind that I can barely see the light
