Hi Matt: I thought the LEB was cool until I found the following: LEB. Deu 6:4 "Hear, Israel, Yahweh our God, Yahweh is unique.
While that may strike your ear as odd, it is within the parameters of the meaning of 'e hhaadh . The word is not just a cardinal number meaning "one". I think the verse is best translated

I am running L8 and having the same kind of c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g-l-y-s-l-o-w-r-e-s-p-o-n-s-e. Just clicking from one open tab to another can take 10-20 seconds.to load. Constantly gets the spinning pizza and the screen going gray...and no, I'm not using Acronis.

Truth only and we each must decipher the truth for ourselves.
If everyone has their own truth then there is no real truth. Each with their own truth is the relativist hymn...IMHO.
I get what you're trying to say, but "truth" received yet untested isn't truth...it's a bet. And not a

[quote user="MJ. Usually, if you're going to zag when everyone else zigs, a bit of emphatic intentionality

Thank you, Graham. I appreciate you. I see now why I could find it in my library. Instead of the quite sensible LALGNT that Myke used, the shortcut name my library has is...better pack a lunch...LXGRCANLEX. For crying out loud, what a mess! I would change it to the more suitable and less ridiculous version that Myke used, but I worry that might cause

Myke, what resource is LALGNT? I plugged it into the FL search box and got no return. Thanks.
Not that Rick needs support but
but determining the 'form' of a given root is ... tricky.
Regarding Gordon being a native speaker, I don't think this is accurate; his pronounciation doesn't sound Israeli. I think he's from Chicago according to his own claims; growing up in some Jewish sect doesn't make someone a native speaker nor does moving to Israel (done both those things and I'm not a native speaker ;) That said

Pretty much everything I said in this thread applies to this thread as well, and the dozens of similar ones that get posted in the Forum. These FL-produced searches, various datasets, and the like may indeed be pretty well curated. But how do you know? The only real answer to that question is to do the actual searching yourself. If there is some parameter
Can anyone provide insights into why these example verses where elohim appears are categorized with the sense of deity, when a sense of idol seems to make better sense to me. Ex 32:31 They have made for themselves gods of gold. Ex 34:17 You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal. Lev 19:4 Do not turn to idols

Thanks for the replies. They are helpful.

When I right-click on this word in 2 Thes. 2:11, I get this: My question is...what support exists for saying that ergon is the root of energeia ? I'm not finding it.
I think, for the purpose of demonstration, he has opened the Library in multiple tabs
Ah, yes, seeing that now. Thanks. You know...I like this theoretical option. Would be great if FL could create a multi-column view for the Library.

I don't particularly think Nehemia is a charlatan, rather, he is just wrong about this topic. He occasionally has helpful things to say, though I do agree he suffers from his association with Michael Rood, who comes much closer to being a charlatan in my book. Nehemia got Rood to reluctantly change his pronunciation from Yahweh to Yahovah a few years

KS4J, how do you get the columns in your library layout?

I thought you were going to say something like, "Finally met the person I've been talking too online and she looks nothing like her thumbnail."
I currently have the Life Application New Testament Commentary on Logos and am wondering what the difference is between it and the Life Application Bible Commentary advertised on the Logos website.
Guessing that the one you have is a subset of the other.
