This thread is spawning thought trails like fungal webs. Where to begin? Where to begin? Regarding polysemy and polyvalence, this article handles the contrast pretty well. Also, the term "polyvalence" has a synonym in "multivalence". I have a few books that address these concepts within the realm of Biblical studies, such as The Multivalence of Biblical

[quote user="DMB"] Now, regarding the article (before the spin-out): " Among the Jewish rabbis, “binding” and “loosing” were idiomatic terms to denote certain types of conduct that were either prohibited (“bound”) or permitted (“loosed”), forbidden or authorized." (also dup'd in the blog) Try to validate

I used to try to cheerlead these CPs to the finish line, but both buyers and sellers are hard-headed, so I stopped pounding my head. That said, if FL would just send out a notice that each of these was going to close at $2 each for those signed up, I suspect that most of them would generate enough interst to cover expenses. I also suggested that CP

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but two comments: 1) I don't feel like I should have to do FL's work for them. That said... 2) If someone at FL is reading this thread and wants to encourage a particular response from users about how to address particular cases of bibliographic inadequacy, then by all means please indicate what means and method

Having posted the above example of an inadequate citation, I want to here provide an example of a Logos citation that I consider to be satisfactory. Lightfoot, J. (2010). [quote user="DMB"] This is exactly what George prophesied as a sign of the end-time (of greek knowledgability). Logosians would blindly reach for their RI's, demanding any usable Bible include its 'cheat-sheets'. If only George were still with us. • Inadequate Bibliographic Citations in Logos

I brought this topic up years ago when ol' George was still among us, but nothing has changed as far as I can tell. For me, as a user of Logos, I find that FL's dating of public domain titles is not just inadequate and inaccurate but entirely unacceptable. For example, the bibliographic data that is included in the citation of Schaff's translation of

Surprised this title isn't in Logos. Not only did I think it was already available in Logos, but I thought I actually owned it. Oh well...let's rectify it's absence. https://ref.ly/logosres/gs-netbible?ref=BibleNET.Job19.17 Referenced in note 43 in NET.

This issue is specific to Mobile because of how Notes work in that OS. For longer notes, there is a scroll bar that allows the user to scroll through the note to the end. It is at the bottom of the note that the Edit Note option appears as a hyperlink. Clicking it takes you to the Note entry/edit window. The problem I'm having is that a significant
