Russ: I'm not sure what you mean by a "Go" button. Try closing and reopening the application and clicking on the Layouts button and see if they have synched. Typically the app synchs upon launch. The only thing that will happen when you push the refresh buttons is the arrows will spin, when they are done that means it has synched (or tried). The only

  • Re: Passage guide refreshing periodically

Ross: We are crystal. Now what I need are log files posted of this occurring, and a list of what books you have open whilst the logs are being taken, and the auto refresh is occurring as well as a list of what items you have in your personalized Passage Guide. Directions for getting Logs are linked form my signature.

Mike: In short. There is not a problem. If you had the Collins Oxford English Dictionary you would be getting a definition for Greco-Roman. The rest of the information you are seeing in the information window is being drawn from adjacent words to where you have the mouse hovering. "1:8. Some Greco-Roman writers called the supreme deity the “first,”

Mike: Good find on the book/Reference pane issue. It does the same thing on the Windows version. It is a problem with the book and the proper people have been informed of the issue. As for your last post. I'm not following the logic in it at all. My apologies. Do you think you could augment your concerns in your post about this with a screen of it?

Monroe: I would advise taking logs. Directions on how to are in my signature below my post. Take logs of your attempt to download the missing files and post them here. Thank you.

  • Re: Passage guide refreshing periodically

Mike: Linking the Guides to anything is wholly voluntary, it is not compulsive at all so, (my previous post may have inferred otherwise) when a HP (HomePage) search is performed the commentary and the bible are linked but nothing else. This is true with the Windows version as well (4.0b SR-1). However if one's computer was powerful enough I could see

Caleb: Ok, so I was not aware you were in "Logos Bible Software Infographcs" I thought you were looking at images through like "Biblical X" or the images you see through a Passage guide. I did not take the term Infographics literally enough I guess. In the former items, one can pan after zooming, but I can confirm that this does not work yet in the

  • Re: Passage guide refreshing periodically

Ross: I think I understand. So when you have the ESV, or any bible linked to the Passage Guide, whenever you change position in the bible it will adjust accordingly in your Passage Guide. That is probably why it is refreshing. And when I said condensed form I meant the form each category in a report when you cannot see the contents, just the title of

James: I'm not trying to defend or seem apologetic about the reality of the function. I'm just explaining that it is not a bug, and is a result of the way the program works. The goal is to mirror the features and way the Windows version works as much as possible, and if one tries your same search with the exact same variables the result will be the

Jim: Dev is saying there is no crash in the logs you posted. I attempted the layout file you posted and it seemed to work fine for me. I'm going to repost it, could you place it back and tell me if you are still getting the issue? If so Post the logs of the crash right after the crash, if you open Logos4 again the logs will be cannibalized by the new

James: Analysis View does not work because it has yet to be implemented fully. I'm reporting a bug for the disappearing citation selection area. As for the "doubles" in the Verses view, that is a result of searching an interlinear text. Since you are searching in an Interlinear book the search is bringing over the multiple times that the individual

Bob Thank you for the logs. Could you try something for me? Well two things actually. First Delete the Logos4 app from you Application folder and reinstall it from the following link: http://www.logos.com/logos4mac Then could you move the homepage file out of its location to your desktop and reopen Logos4? The homepage is in the following location:

  • Re: Passage guide refreshing periodically

Ross: Could you take a screenshot of your passage guide in its condensed form? Does it happen in its condensed form? Make sure the screenshot has the search query used that will result in a refresh. What is it you are doing when it occurs? Finally I'm not sure what you mean by having "follow" off and not linked.

Caleb: How odd. Could you take a screen-shot of your mouse of an image? Could you also take a log and post it (directions linked from my signature)? Finally could you tell me what version of the Alpha you are running? It is labeled at the top of the primary application window.

KS4J: Could you check the size of the file for me? It should be 1.8mb on disk. the file will be in: Users/userfolder/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/uinquefolder.xxx/ResourceManager/Resources Once there look for OTS_PENT.logos4. Right-click on that file and select "get info" In there you will see how big the file is. Thank you. Scratch that
