Michael: Ok, thanks. I'll post a bug about this. Meanwhile, on your Mac you might want to create a similar set of Layouts but name them Mac that way you know for now which ones to use on which platform. Id like to see if you still had issues with large layouts of if it is just these ones that have synced from the Windows version of Logos4.

That is weird it all of a sudden worked. Thanks for the update, and you're quite welcome for what...aid (though I didn't really do much) I could give.

  • Re: A16a Bug or Missing Feature in Search

Tom: First I'd like more details on your search parameters. Are you search "All Passages" in "All Bibles, or perhaps something else? A screen-shot in this instance would be helpful. http://docs.google.com/View?id=dg83s9kb_177fqxckcdj I may also need log files (instructions for how to get those are in my signature at the bottom of this post). Thank you

Michael: Is the layout you are opening fairly complicated (in terms of the amount of items that open)? I'd like to see if we can open without that layout, and even see if we can open the layout after we have Logos4 opened (provided we are able to open it). Could you go to Users/UserFolder/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/Unique.xxx/LayoutManager
@Tommy, Yes, I just tried it, and it's not terribly interesting. While the verse numbers retain their superscript formatting, the citation information is lost. Until the feature is fixed in Logos 4, it seems much simpler to use Logos 3, which gets it right. Fixing the problem is on the "To Do" list, correct? Thanks, --skip

  • Re: A15 Stuck on Download of New Book Purchases

LO: Try deleting your DownloadManager.db and Updates.db files. Earlier when you went on the deleting spree (specifically ResourceManager.db, ResourceSyncManager.db) and it started downloading many items that was because it no longer recognized you had those resources, so it wanted to go get them. I think perhaps deleting the two database (db) files

Joe: There are a few things I'd like you to try, and I have a few questions. How are you connected to the internet both within your home and from your home to the larger web (WIFI network, Satallite, Cable, etc)? Close Logos 4 and go to UserFolder/library/Application Support/Data/uniquefolder.xxx/DownloadManager/. Once there delete the DownloadManager

Have you tried pasting into TextEdit and then over to PowerPoint?

  • Re: processor intensive

Could you both experiment, and try to see if this occurs with only Logos4 open, and if it drops the performance of your machine radically take logs (link on how in my signature) and post them. Thanks!

Stephen: Thanks for trying it out. I know you're on a Mac (obviously) so this might be a stupid question, but do you have a firewall up or are you behind a proxy? Could you put this link into your browser and tell me if it connects? http://www.logos.com/rdf/?file=columns-4.0〈=en You should see a page with an RSS feed subscription button and some blog

  • Re: Help Me Please I've lost everything!
I tried to follow the steps to collect logs for the Mac, which I am now not sure if I did this correctly or not, but I now no longer have a library. I initially started with "updating your files" taking for ever to basically no Logos 4 at all. Please help me get back to my original problem.
Richard

  • Re: A16a - Homepage not loading RSS feeds

Stephen: You could try deleting your HomePage folder with L4 closed, and restart which should recreate the folder. Its under Username /library/application support/logos4/data/ uniquefolder.xxx /HomePage. If that doesn't seem to do it try running the update resources command.

  • Re: Copy and Paste

Skip: I think you meant to paste a screen. It did not post. As for your text though: When you said Options 2 and 3 worked, do you mean they operated correctly or with the same results as before (I.E. pasting with font irregularities).

  • Re: processor intensive

Doug: Logos 4 is by nature fairly CPU intensive. Do you have any other programs open whilst you notice this? If so which ones? Do you actually notice a significant slow down in your computer's performance? Could you also provide your Mac's specifications? Thanks.

  • Re: Copy and Paste

Hey Skip: Could you try pasting special in PowerPoint and see if there is a "paste special" option. It will look like what you see here , and your options should look like this . Otherwise I know elsewhere others have documented issues pasting into Word: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/14612.aspx . Dave Mitchell replied saying: There are some known

Robin: Can you confirm with us what version of the Alpha you are running? It will say at the top of the window. Could you give us an idea of what it is you are doing when this occurs? I understand L4 is in active at this time, but what else are you typically doing on the machine? Do you have other programs open? Is there any consistency aside from the

Charles: Forgive me but I'm not sure I understand your nomenclature on a few items, or at least what exactly it is you are seeing. Are you seeing these thumbnails in a book, or are they part of the results you have when you do a search from the Home Page? Perhaps a screen-shot would be useful. Here is a link some instructions for that: http://docs.google

Hey I had a question and some observations. When you are trying to ascertain which is the active window are you guys having the windows floating or do you try to keep them within the constraints of the primary window? I noticed that with the windows bound within the primary window (as opposed to floating) the active window, emits a brighter hue than
