  • Re: Top ten theologians from each L6 tradition / denomination.

God bless: I liked your comment very much,it is so funny and so true. What I am thinking of is maybe the 10 theologians in a tradition that truly master and clearly expound the core theology of the tradition, without misrepresentation, nor mischaracterization. I am not an expert but I wold expect to see names such as: Calvin, Wesley, Barth, Spurgeon

God bless: Thank you Allen for the input. If I am not mistaken, L6 staff is working to develop a similar function with content from modern theologians. Just out of curiosity, have you got a personal list of theologians that you consider especially worthy to look at? Thanks again, blessings.

  • Top ten theologians from each L6 tradition / denomination.

God bless you all: Has anyone put together a document listing the 10 top theologians in each denomination / tradition? If someone has, can he / she please share it. The idea came to me after looking at: theologydegreesonline.com/the-40-greatest-theologians-throug… And I would like to use it to develop a collection that would do something like this

Good evening, God bless you all: There is even a modified way to search OT for person speaking and certain topic filter, it is based on: https://blog.logos.com/2015/03/logos-6-find-verses-in-which-a-biblical-person-spoke/ You run the search on the left first, turn it to a passage list, so that it becomes a filter in the search done in the right. I wish

Good afternoon: Thank you for the info NB. Mick. I used the Lexham Hebrew Bible, and one of the words for love in Hebrew, and it went better. I think I am making progress. I just have to run another passage list for the Angel of the Lord, and do the hebrew word for love search, and then compare results of both searches. This is real cool. Thanks God

Good morning, God bless you all: Instructor Morris Proctor explained how to do a unique search in the New Testament combining clause, passage list and Louw Nida numbers: https://blog.logos.com/2014/07/logos-5-combine-clause-passage-list-and-ln-numbers-for-a-unique-search/ I wonder if something similar can be done for the old testament using A Dictionary

  • Re: "Theology Guide"

God bless you all: Dr. John mentioned: " It seems like we are stuck with the bibliographies and subject indexes in the books themselves. The above guide cannot even find predestination in Barth or Calvin!" You are right, to get quicker to the information, a specific collection has to be made: Maybe it would be a good idea to make a custom guide with

Good evening, God bless you all: Thanks for your kind thoughts and suggestions: Denise, MJ, and mab, plus the other contributors to the thread. I am reading Mobile Ed TH101. Teacher Carl Sanders really is outstanding, many of my questions are being answered. He goes into the difference between Biblical theology and systematic theology. One of the cool

Good afternoon, God bless you all: [quote user="Justin Gatlin"] I think that most new testament theologies tend to focus on the theological contribution of each gospel, rather than Jesus as a coherent whole. Liberals would say that is because the gospels tell us more about the author than Jesus. Conservatives would say the whole of the bible radiates

Good morning, God bless you all: Yes, Armchair theologians looks like a good pick. Thank you for the advice. I was trying to look for resources that deal with Jesus' theology, but I have not found anything concrete. Does anybody know if someone has tried to make a systematic theology based on Christ's teaching and life? I have found resources about

Good evening, God bless you all: John 4:3, 1 Peter 2:4, 1 Peter 2:5. Somebody once said never to underestimate how terrestrial we are, and how that makes us so anthropocentric in our conceptions. The above verses make me wonder, maybe we have not got the slightest clue of what life will be like in heaven, and yet, here we are thinking in gender terms

  • Academic study of a historical theologian.

Good evening, God bless you all: As an informed layperson, I am interested in being able to conduct research on a historical theologian so as to find: The presuppositions, theology (both biblical and/or systematic), vision, orthopraxis and influence of that particular theologian, so as to better understand his / her impact, and to compare such areas
