Thanks Gao Lu. I heard a prominent preacher once continually mispronounce Job ....it really detracted from his message. I want to get the pronunciations myself right first in case I am asked or just get the software to read it aloud for me....etc. I dislike seeing or hearing others stumble over passages or get frustrated trying to say them aloud.

I am open for suggestions on what resources you would use for a men's bible study for less than an hour on 1st Kings for example do you think that the be responsible series by Warren wiersbe and the Tyndale maybe enough to inform the conversation and dialogue? I'm also going to use christ-centered Exposition commentary in my wordsearch Bible as well
-
What an excellent useful question and I have appreciated all of the reply so far as well. How I wish logos developers would pay careful and close attention to people who are actually using the software and practical ways like you are.
-
Curious how many of you are in a men's bible study and if yes specifically what fast tool do you use for pronunciation? Is it the factbook and is it fast enough for you? We are in an Old Testament book and I think it would be great to have something that I could just touch the word and it would automatically be pronounced without having to go through

Hi, I was wondering if any of you took advantage of the zondervan counterpoints series sale recently and purchase the whole thing including the upgrade? I see that Amazon has the paperback version for hundreds of dollars less. I do know that there is value in resourcing and having it in logos or should I say indexing but I wonder if most of you use

Graham, I am assisting my assistant pastor at our church with propresenter and the song lyrics on Sunday mornings but I do not know how to use an Apple Macintosh iPad Etc. So I'm actually looking for an entryway in and also a budget way in to make use of logos and also learn propresenter and basically how to use a Mac. I don't know if we call it a Mac
-
Dal and graham you two are always a blessing in these forums and so informative. I do not want to make use of an app that has limited logos functionality but I will try to explore the app on my wife's iPhone before leaping to an iPad Pro which yes can be very costly and probably not as useful if it has limited logos functionality. I am considering making a switch or adding an iPad Pro or some iPad with 4 speakers to my collection of devices that utilize logos 7. I have the bronze Baptist 7. X version of the software currently in Windows. Two questions I have. One do I have to purchase logos all over again in Windows I'm sorry in a Macintosh or apple version in order to make use
-
These are available on sale at the wordsearch site but they are not all loading up yet as of today inside their software once puchased. They are however extraordinarily less expensive then other applications. I do not understand why Logos is not able to command the same kind of pricing and discounts.
-
...I do see your point DAL. Logos does price hundreds of dollars more in some cases. Publishers and manufacturers set the terms I guess. We can only hope and pray they offer the same or better discounts in the future.

https://www.logos.com/product/45617/the-preachers-outline-and-sermon-bible ...more and more I am finding collections in Logos such as these are higher cost sometimes by as much as 2 or $300 more. Anyone think this collection is useful and fitting (in general) for an occasional Baptist preacher?
-
$400 more in Logos rather than Accordance is just sad and unreasonable. We may all need a Kindle, Wordsearch, Logos, Accordance price comparison tool soon. Did I leave anyone out?
-
DAL you blessed lucky sharing soul...thanks. I will check that out for sure. WORDsearch work well or pale next to Logos in your opinion? I like the sermon prep end of things...every little bit counts....and keeping Christ central is vital, right?
-
just found this...add my vote please.

I am curious why this excellent set of commentaries is not in Logos yet? I broke down and used some "book bucks" to get a discount at my local Christian bookstore and have decided to restudy and share The Book of Mark making use of this Akin's book and others (obviously The Good Book in my ESV and NKJV with Logos Baptist Bronze 7.x open nearby). The

God bless you MAB and us all as we seek to serve HIM. I pray we give up sinning, obey, learn to trust and grow in Christ faithfully...and share him well and lovingly and often. Still around...just saying goodbye to my logos student discount status and saying thanks.
-
Logos said they would not pricematch and so I opted out of keeping the NIVAC afterall. What a shame. My student discount is disappearing...heavy sigh. I at least used it to get a discount on Logos Bronze 7.9 and the full feature. Now all I need is a job to go with it. God bless you all as you serve or seek to. Glory to God...Jesus Lead On! p.s. You all are awesome. I'm still waiting to hear back from logos.

That means Logos charged me over $400 more. I am definitely going to rethink and reconsider this. Nice to see I am not the only one up at his hour. It is 330 am in Rhode Island. My wife came to ask if I fell asleep at my desk. Thanks DAL. Sweet dreams of savings and acquired and shared Bible knowledge.
