• Cross References listed from a particular Study Bible

Does anyone know how to access the cross references (listed in the center column in the print edition) of the King James Study Bible? Do they exist in the Logos format? Or are just the footnotes, maps, articles, etc. all that are included on any Study Bible file? In looking at several of my print Study Bibles, each have their own set of center column
It looks to be a Handout issue, and these have been unstable. A workaround might be to delete them. Load to a blank layout by holding Ctrl as L4 is starting and then delete them.
Dave - as soon as Logos came up to the Home Page, I deleted the "Matthew 6:16-18" handout that Logos had created and saved (I may have done
I wonder if you could open Task Manager and monitor the processes when you open Logos 4 until it crashes. If you sort the processes by CPU you will better be able to see if a process (including a Logos process) is occurring right before the crash.
Mark - I watched the CPU processes as you suggested. Saw nothing that

Dave and Mark, Here is the latest crash log. I opened L4, left it sitting on the home page, not moving the mouse or anything, then "stopped working" again. Attached is the log file. 5140.Logos4 - 1127 stop.log Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated. - Except "throw the laptop out into the snow tonight." Well at least the cold and snow
I'm no expert at reading log files but it looks like Logos was unable to initialize a part of its installation. Perhaps there is a corrupt file the program was trying to access. Have you tried to do a fresh re-install of the program at any point?
Mark A.
Thanks Mark - that captures the error. Now ensure everything works OK after indexing and see if the crash can be repeated.
Dave - here is the next log file from the latest crash. It has happened twice since my last post. Once after it finished indexing while L4 was just open "sitting" on the home page. And then just

Dave, Indexing is still continuing. I have posted to my other post (which you replied to and I send my computer information also.) I will stop posting to this post and keep this discussion going on the other post. Now I am really confused. - but that is not anyone else's problem. In short, look at other post from me. Indexing is due to be finished in

Here it goes: L4 Platinum was installed from DVD. See below for other details and a question about how to attach the log file. I was able to create one, and L4 crashed doing nothing on the screen but being on the home page. The blue Logos logo is in the bar at the bottom saying that it has about 1 hour to go on indexing. • L4 not working at all, where to start looking for a solution?

Today L4 is not working. Every time I open a Passage Guide, or even during indexing, I get a message that Windows is stating the program has stopped. Where do I begin to get help on this problem? I posted earlier with a word file of the screen shot that I was getting and received no reply yet. I dearly need for this program (L4) to work. I have never

  • Logos 4 stops working during Passage Guide to Matthew 6:16-18

Does anyone know what would be causing the following? When I opened L4 tonight it said that new resources were available and started downloading them, then start re indexing. Showed that this would take about 3 hours. I did a Passage Guide for scripture above and now L4 quits working and asks me to send a message to Microsoft. Please help!

Does anyone have the answer to question number 1 in my original post? That is a product that Logos stopped supporting (just FYI).

  • Handouts and Lesson Builder?

I have two questions for the forum. 1. I was wondering if the information (resources) that were built into Logos' old Lesson Builder are included somewhere within Version 4? 2. Does anyone know if Logos plans on allowing more than 4 pages (booklet style) or 1 double sided (sheet style) handouts in the future? I was working on a handout for a Sunday

Here is another vote for these books. I have them both in book form, but would enjoy them more in L4.

Phil, I am new to the "forums" (my only two posts are in the "newbies" thread) and I have a couple of questions that I could not find on the faqs. 1. When L4 updates automatically to let me know that I have 4 new updates/resources; is there a way of telling what was updated? 2. How do you "start a new thread"? Thanks - Mark Watson - a Logos user in

Jayson, I am one of the many newbies to the forums. I just searched the forums for information about "collections" and found a couple of great user videos. Below are the answers to your questions to us newbies: 1. I became a Logos user when I found a green box called the Logos Bible Software Collection on one CD ROM. It had the Logos Family Bible Software
