The temptation to write that I don't have time to be patient is almost too great I've ended up resizing partitions. Acronis decided it didn't want to know so I'm trying out EASEUS Partition Master. Seems to be doing something...

Two partitions being merged into one (almost biblical...) as I type. I think that might take as long as the indexing

Thanks too for the reply Bob. I've been immensely happy with how Logos 3 has run on my netbook. I wasn't too optimistic at the start but it's proved to be a great experience. Searching was sometimes a little slow but I never did that much, using it more for reading. That's where the form factor was a real winner... great for reading in bed. Overall

Yeah, that looks to be the problem. I'm going to do a backup and then either enlarge the c: partition or just un-partition the drive. I'll have to see which is the easiest to do using Acronis Disk Director. Partitioning was an attempt to keep things neat but probably isn't worth the pain. I'd rather have Logos 4 working than have a partition. Thanks

Hello Damian, I think I'm in the right place now I'll have another go... I've turned off Logos updates and Windows updates. The hard drive is 160 Gb partitioned into a 30 Gb c: drive and a 113Gb d: (data) drive. Not sure where the rest of the space has gone, but that's not so important right now I've just noticed that there's only 2Gb left on the c

  • Logos 4 on a netbook - giving up

Logos 4 is reasonable on my desktop - sluggish with delays but overall pretty good (Vista 32bit, Quad core with 4Gb of RAM) However, on my netbook it's proving to just be a totally frustrating experience. Twice now Logos 4 has spent hours (over 24 hours the first time about 15 this time) creating the index only to delete it and start again. I'm about

Sorry about that Damian, didn't notice the links at the top.

This morning on my desktop I had a notice saying there was an update. It tried to install and it hung so I terminated it. Then on starting Logos 4 again I got an error about being unable to find prerequisites - this happened twice, the installer failed and then the app started. Don't know if I've got the updates or not. On my netbook the indexing has

  • Re: Help files?

Help has just arrived! My computer did a 550.1Mb download and I now have a full help file, the Lexham English Bible and all 30 "Opening Up" commentaries. Apart from those I don't know what made up the rest of the download. Now everything is indexing again...

No help files here either. All indexing completed quite a few hours ago now. Maybe it's been done to Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery

  • Re: Indexing for 6 hours

If you've installed and indexed on one computer can you copy over the index to another - a netbook for example - and have it work? I read elsewhere on the forum that indexing on a netbook took one person about 15 hours!

Wow, thanks for the incredibly speedy response! I'm guessing that some folk haven't slept much because I saw responses this morning at about 8am GMT (I think that was the time here). Words have been clicked as suggested and everything works. I was so near, yet so far :) Thanks for the help

  • Re: Logos Bible Software version 4 is here!!!

Thanks Joe, It's taken nearly half the day to do the download - 9.2Gb and the indexing has taken about three hours. But (nearly) everything seems to be all present and correct. I'm enjoying the new experience. the next step is transfering everything on my little netbook... should be fun.

  • Reverse Interlinears - Hiding?

I've done all the down loading, the indexing only has 6 minutes left to run and I've already been having a look around... very nice, thank you Logos! I have a question though... I can't find any reverse interlinears. A search in the Library shows nothing even though all my other resources show up. So I'm wondering whether they're just more behind the

Phew, something just kicked into life... I went to the settings page and now have a "Downloads Available" notice and it's downloading 1.3Gb of data. My day just got better!!

I'm glad some folks are up... I've just upgraded from the old Gold to the new one. Downloaded the programme and got it installed correctly - but I can't see any resources and nothing seems to be happening :( (First time using the forum so hope this ends up in the right place...)
