• Re: Upgrading
I am with you. This is a huge let down by the company.
Unfortunately I get the increasingly impression that the attitude exhibited on the forums, if not by Logos itself, is along the lines of 'tough, if you don't like it, don't buy it, no-one's holding a gun to your head, stop grouching and be grateful'. I hope
2., Wait until the crossgrade comes out and pay for that. That will give you the new functionality with no new resources (apart from those required to run the new functionality) 3. Wait until the new engine comes out free of charge. That will give you limited new functionality, but won't have the full set of new features. [/quote

  • How do I back up my Logos 4?

Since presumably we cannot download Logos 4 from the site, how would I go about making copies so that I can transfer Logos 4 to any new computer I might buy in the future? Is there a way to put Logos files on my external hard-drive and load it onto a computer from that? I don't want to be held hostage to pricey upgrades (nearly $700 for Platinum, and

  • Froom--Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers

I would like to see this book in Logos. While written from a Seventh Day Adventist perspective (which I don't share), the work is something of a classic, and I hope to see it in Logos before the day I succumb to buying a print version.

  • Re: Classic Eschatology Set

I'm surprised so many people have heard of Guinness. Thanks for the doc, though I was under the impression that the website it was taken from never did compile a complete copy, but had some missing chapters? BTW, this book made me a premillennialist, something I would have once thought impossible, as I was a very persuaded amillennialist.

  • Classic Eschatology Set

While the set is solid and worth having, I wonder if Logos would consider adding one or more of H. Grattan Guinness' classic works (Approaching End of the Age, Light on the Last Days, Romanism and the Reformation etc). His defense of premillennialism in part 1 of The Approaching End of the Age is the best I've seen.

While the set is solid and worth having, I am disappointed that H. Grattan Guinness isn't represented; his defense of premillennialism in part 1 of The Approaching End of the Age is the best I've seen.
Can anyone help me with these two greek words, what are they?
ζῷον is literally 'living thing' (cf. the Greek ζωὴ --life). θηρίον means 'beast' and is cognate with our word 'deer'--compare the German tier which still retains the general sense of animal. ζῷον would be used of the living creatures before the throne

  • Re: CP CC Avalanche...again

If they will hold the price then I don't know why there are complaints. What more can they do? They will hold the price so that you can purchase them later, so that there is no avalanche. why is this thread still active?

Yes, there are several threads on this; I too would like to see it in Logos, and perhaps even David Bercot's other books.

  • Re: Classic Revelation and Daniel Commentaries-to keep or not to keep?
These are set to ship in November, but I am trying to decide whether or not I want to keep them. I originally pre-ordered them on community pricing because I thought it would be good to have sort of a "history of interpretation" for these two books. I don't normally buy older commentaries, simply because the newer commentaries

  • Re: Too Many Classic Commentaries Release at Once
My pet theory is that Logos is forcing these through production to form part of the new Logos 5 base packages, which would expleain all the "help" they are getting.
Would that mean that we are wasting our money by buying these? How does that work?
And if you haven't yet put in a bid on Text and Studies: Contributions to Biblical and Patristic Literature (29 vols.) , you might want to do that at the same time.
I missed that one. Just put my bid in at $50.
