  • Re: Expiring Discounts & Still Only an Alpha?

O gracious. I more than sympathize/empathize with Mr. Jeff's frustrations. I bought the L4 Mac version and am so DISAPPOINTED. I've tried complaining, etc., but to no avail. Right now, L4 is slow, bulky, not too-much operable and continues to fill up your hard drive with lots of gbyte updates. If you want to save a buck or two and give the folks at

  • Reporting Bugs / Logs

Would it be possible for the Logos programmers to include in the code whatever it would take for Logos to generate its own log file so that, when the program crashes, the user it prompted with a, "There has been an error...blah...blah...would you like to send the error report to Logos." I've had numerous crashes but have been in the middle of something

  • Pic Images in Resources

I was looking through 1000 Bible Images and the image is terribly small to the point where almost no detail can be seen. Is this a 'bug' problem or is this the way the resource renders the image? Here is the pic: 2783.1000 Bible Images Pic.tiff

  • Re: Be Honest - Would you buy again?

No, I would not buy again . Of course I can still use Logos 3 for the MAC (the broken and unfixed version that seemingly will stay that way - ) as well as its counterpart in Windows. As for Logos 4, I'm sure it will be a good product but it is not there yet - far from it!!!!! You will be frustrated; it will be slow, constantly downloading updates and

  • More Updates after Down-Installed A10??

Last night I downloaded/installed the A10 updates and the program indexed. So I opened up L4 this morning and noticed the blue symbol in the top right. When I moved my cursor over it, a window appeared informing me that 976 mb were being downloaded. Is this update a part of the A10; if so, what exactly did I update last night? If not, what does this

  • A-10 Slow?

Perhaps it's me, but the program runs horribly slow on my macbook pro v 3. Has anyone else experienced the same. When I search on a particular text, there is quite a delay while I watch the spinning circle show. When I try to get information on Greek/Hebrew words, there is a delay. I just want to compare my experience with the rest. Thanks.

Yes, yes, this is correct. Thanks.

  • Re: Locking up when searching...

Same problem. When I open Logos and type (say) a reference in the search box, the "thinking circle" appears spinning and spinning, never returning any results. I try and close Logos and, because its locked up, have to 'force quit.' Then, when I restart, I'm type the same passage and am given results.

  • Re: A-9 'Left' click information?

I was referring to the panel that would pop up when you left-clicked (or double finger-clicked, in my case) on a selected word in (say) the Biblical text. The panel where "copy" is found. I need to copy/paste some Greek text but did not have the option to do so. Funny, when I went to 'Grab' a picture to post, the panel disappeared and then reappeared

  • A-9 'Left' click information?

Downloaded, indexed...new a-9 update. The 'search' information options that pop up when you left click on a word are no longer there. Have I done something wrong or has this feature disappeared in the alpha 9? Thanks all.

  • Re: Updates?

Thanks for the note and links. But I read through the links (or at least tried to) and found nothing that really answered my question. Maybe there is no answer, who knows! I had to cancel indexing - 102 hrs for Mac and I'm not sure how long the V-Fusion XP ver has.

  • Updates?

All, When I started Logos today (VMWare Fusion - running XP), the program notified me that it was downloading update worth 882 mb. I'm curious, how much more space is Logos 4 going to take up? Granted, space is not so much an issue but I am curious, given that I have had to resize the vbox not just once, if I'll be downloading a gig at at time when

  • Re: Unbelievably Frustrated with Logos 4 and the Mac Ver of Logos 3

Thanks for the responses. I have checked the Mac forums and as of yet they've not helped with my problems. I'll keep looking. As for the comment about the 'inflammatory' language, I'm not meaning to be offensive though I am perhaps striking a caustic tune. I think Logos needs to be aware (which I'm sure they are) of what a lot of their consumer base

  • Unbelievably Frustrated with Logos 4 and the Mac Ver of Logos 3

Since this is a forum for support, let me first quickly cite the issue I'm having. I upgraded to Logos 4 over Christmas since Logos 3 for Mac shares the same fate as Windows 3, 95, 98 - that is, no support! Since the MAC version is anything but OPERABLE (would be buyers be ware), I installed it on a VMWare Fusion 3.0 Virtual Machine. It's a shame I

  • A6 Viewing...

This perhaps is trivial but I noticed and probably others have or will. I have Logos opened, though the window is only (say) using 1/2 of the screen. I did a search for the number of times a word appears. It is hard to describe so see the picture - notice how the number of secs the search took runs on top of the tabs (Verse, Aligned, Datasheet). However

  • A6 Crash on 'Look Up'

    1. From Home, searched on passage. 2. Navigated to Greek - N.A. 27 3. Attempted to 'look up' Greek word. 4. Crashed. (I hope I've reported this right. Thanks to Mr. Miller for the tutorial.) 73678.Archive.zip

I installed Logos4; the indexing completed. When I use Logos, I do not see the blue icon in the upper right menu. Should the indexer be running all the time or just after the program has been installed?

  • Re: Having trouble with Mac Alpha?

How do you turn the logging on? I did get a report from the activity monitor when the Logos crashed. I'll post it here and wait for 'how to' with regards to 'logging'. Thanks. Note: I use a Mac Book Pro v 3 with latest OS. Also, I use VMWare Fusion when I use the Logos v 3 and have the Mac Logos 1.2.2. I could hardly make out the code below (assuming

  • A6 Crash upon Information Request

I searched from the Homepage, for example, Hebrews 7:1-10. I clicked on the window with Bibles and then the tab "NA27". Then I and then clicked for "look for" for one of the words, thinking it would give me more info about "the" Greek word. Nothing happened. I repeated the "look for" again. Nothing. I did it once more and a lexicon (I think, for it
