Tried it several times, even variations, no change.

  • Re: Berkhof Collection ... resources not downloaded

Mike, Thanks for posting the fix. I followed your instructions and am now waiting for 3+ hours of indexing to see if it took. I did notice that most of the Berhof resources are still not logos4. Is that right? Can you confirm for us which files should be logos4 and which, if any, are the older format? Thanks
Hmmm, you mean most of the new resources use the old format?
I'm not sure what he meant by that, but here's what I found. My Berkhof collection now has 14 logos4 files and 1 lbxlls file (Subjects & Outlines). Prior to the "fix" it was 14:1 the opposite direction (lbxlls to logos4). I'd like to know what files

  • Re: Does the R. A. Torrey Collection have a series tag?

That's helpful, thanks. I'm troubleshooting a particular problem though and need to know if this (or A.W. Pink) has been tagged as a series in L4. Anyone? After rebuilding my catalog database, I noticed my Tyndale Commentaries no longer had a series tag. After 15 minutes or so, the series tags began appearing one-by-one. Strange. Anyhow, now I'm wondering

In your library, your resources are associated with various types of data (metadata). Some resources, such as commentaries, are listed as part of a series. In your library tab you can sort by series and see all of your resources associated with that tag. It's handy. You can also assign your own tags and sort by those as well.

I enjoy the Foxe's Book of Martyrs, but have never heard of The Martyrs Mirror". This sounds like a great addition to Logos.

  • Re: How to build your library (cheap)
I am positive that one can rationalize the purchase of every item offered by Logos and expand his or her library to several thousand. I wonder though if such purchases would be made if we had to store these devotional/historical works on the shelf as they stare back at us on a daily basis in the pursuit of our ministerial
...The best advice I ever received was to read two old books for every new one. Surely the "devotional material" that shaped a Wesley or Wilberforce could have some value to me...
Well put.

  • Re: "Reformed Confessions Harmonized"

Good suggestion. This would be a excellent addition to a Reformed Confessions Collection. I would add these to the collection: Reformed Confessions of the 16th and 17th Centuries in English Translation, Volume 1: 1523-1552 Reformed Confessions of the 16th and 17th Centuries in English Translation: Volume 2: 1552–1566 Suggested here: http://community

  • New Testament Theology: Magnifying God in Christ by Thomas R. Schreiner

Isn't it about time to breakup the Baker Theology Collection and release the titles individually? I suspect there are a lot of Logos users who'd purchase Thomas Schreiner's New Testament Theology: Magnifying God in Christ in a heartbeat if it were available by itself.

It would be wonderful to have a full installation of L4 on a slate sized device, but I'm skeptical. How well do the touch screen features function on a program not designed for it?
Reason #4938282 not to get an iPad. The HP Atom-based tablet PC seems to be the answer the iPad cannot supply. It comes out in May. I DO like Apple products! But the iPad after its hype is mediocre and to me appears to be little better than an iPhone with Logos.
Even the HP tablet won't be able to search off line.

  • Re: iPad or HP slate?
The interface is what the iPad brings new to the table of touchscreen computers. I've yet to see what the HP Slate brings that's really new. I realize that Windows 7 is "touch enabled," but is there a significant difference in the way you interact with it from what you normally do with a mouse?
That's my main question
