Remember that notes attached to highlights only show up in one Bible. If you want the note attached to reference you have to make it separate.
I wonder why you can't highlight a reference instead of a selection. Anybody know? I am referring to the iOS app. When you select note instead of highlight, you can choose selection
it should be easier to start with the note, and then simply add the highlight in the dropdown under the note icon, rather than starting with the highlight and adding the note.
I don't think it works. Once you select reference instead of selection, highlighting is not an option. Am I seeing that correctly? That is correct. It
Not sure about highlighting of other resources (rarely do). Might use a single file for all of these since they are fewer in number.
I like the one-big-pot idea, if we had a great retrieval tool like subject tags or AI-assisted filtering (like DevonThink or programs like that).
My input in another thread was that I will probably combine notes and highlights for each Bible book in a file for that book. I will treat highlights as another way to create a note, but won't always use that highlight to make further annotations.
I'm sold on that idea. For other resources, another possibility would

Brother Mark, I'm am with you. The more I try to get my head around this thing, the more perplexed I get. As I stare at my highlight-notes, all I see are links and nearly useless first and last words. I have no idea what they are without opening each one separately. When I open a clippings file, I get it. I see the resource, heading, date, quote, tags

  • Highlighter-note best practices...suggestions?

Maybe this has already been discussed, but I would love to hear how you are organizing your highlight-notes. I've been playing around with it, but can't figure out the best way for my reading/study habits. Suggestions? One method I tried was creating a file for each book I read or highlighted. I used the resource citation (copy-paste ) as the file name

  • Thomas à Kempis pre-pub not shipped, but available to download?

I see that Thomas à Kempis is available for download, but my pre-pub orders page shows that it won't ship until the 23rd. Anyone know why?

  • Re: Series: Classic Commentaries and Studies on Galatians
They aren't a published series, though. They are just a random bunch of commentaries that happen to be on the same book of the Bible, which Logos is selling together in a bundle. The Series field is for items that are part of a published series (like a commentary set, for example, by the same publisher). And I guess Logos

I just downloaded my copy as well. Does anyone know why it is a monograph instead of a grammar?

  • Re: Pathetic. A year later and reading plans still do not sync!

This won't solve the problem, but you should be able to delete those reading plans on your iPhone with a left swipe. I realize that this may be a low priority for Logos and there are other components involved in the sync, but we paid over a year ago for a feature that has not been delivered. It is unacceptable business.

  • Pathetic. A year later and reading plans still do not sync!

I have been fussing with the Logos' screwed-up bible reading plans for an entire year now. Of course it inexplicably duplicated itself 11 times during 2011 and it only synced with my desktop every week or so, but I knew Logos was working on it. So I finished my reading plan yesterday; it wouldn't sync again, so I deleted it. I would like to start another

  • Any Christmas deals for Portfolio owners?

Has anyone who owns the Portfolio base package received an "upgrade" deal for Christmas? I'm just wondering what Logos might be offering...

  • All I want for Christmas is to highlight and to sync

Many of us will start new bible reading plans on Jan 1. Wouldn't it be grand to have the ability to highlight and for sync to actually start functioning? It's been a long time coming, Logos.

I experienced the same problem yesterday. Check the contents of your library; I suspect you're not actually signed-in. I had to delete my cache and sign-in again, then the download button appeared in the resource info.

This is a great suggestion. I would vote for it being a regular Logos resource and tagged as a calendar devotional. It might more useful in that format as a daily prayer guide.
Which of these titles will work on the iPhone, Android, & web apps?
That's a very good question. The pre-pub page shows them available for Windows and Mac, but the mobile device icon is not there. I hope that was just an oversight.

  • The Harvard classics collection is not mobile!

I was so dissappointed when I realized that this collection was not available for my iPad. I don't want to sit in front of a computer screen and read this stuff! These works are a different beast than bible study reference works. Does anyone know why it's not availabe for mobile devices? Is the problem being addressed or did I waste my money?
