• Poor Library View in MacOS

Is there any way to permanently set the size and view of the library window when you pull it up in Logos 8? I always get a skinny window that I have to resize every time I want to look for a resource (see screenshot).

  • Re: "Information Tool Tips" missing

No. I think I found the solution. I resized my windows and it appeared once again. I may have been just a few pixels underneath the screen. I went from full page to a tad smaller and it is showing itself again.

  • "Information Tool Tips" missing

With the download of 8.2 this morning it seems the immediate Information Tool Tips that would come up on the bottom left of my screen when I hover over a word for translation/parsing has completely disappeared. The setting is posted as "YES" in my preferences, and I have restarted the app multiple times but no fix. Anyone else experiencing this bug

  • Missing the "here's what updated" banner in Logos 8

I remember Faithlife trying to kill this "feature" off in 7, so it seems they've tried to again in 8, however.... I really found it helpful to have the drop-down box that told me whenever there were either library resources updated (and don't @ me on this... I know how to find it in the library using "last updated" filter) or software updates to newer

  • Change Font in Logos 8 Mobile App

Is there a way to return to the font typeface that pre-existed before Logos 8 in the mobile apps? I find the new font difficult to read and like the option to use the Default (logos 7) setting in the desktop app. The new font face is not really my favorite.

  • Resource Specific Notes and Visual Filters

This may be asked before so please forgive if that is the case: Pre-Logos 8 training had us create "resource specific notes", especially for highlights, etc. and this seemed to be the main way to highlight in the mobile apps. Logos 8 Notes have obviously changed the game on that completely. I had a good system in Logos 7 for creating a note file for

  • Interpreting the "Compare Versions" graphics

Given that there is no key (apart from the translations designated color) - how does one interpret the "Compare Versions" graphic that the Passage Guide will pull up? I've attached a screenshot for help. What do I do with this?

  • Sermon Documents Delete Speaker Styles

Lately, whenever I create a speaker style in a Sermon Document and save it, the system will later delete or swipe clear those saved styles. Is this a known bug?

  • Re: Well, we've automatically been migrated to Faithlife Connect...

How were you transitioned to the most expensive plan? I was given the "Starter" plan... and this line was the killer in my email "We’ve migrated you to Faithlife Connect Starter because it’s priced at $89.99/yr, a savings of $10." Except I paid $99 on January 2... So good on ol' Logos for figuring out how to sneak more money out of us.

  • Sermon Documents won't Sync to iPad

The last two Sunday's I've run into a problem where all of my content and markup from a sermon document won't transfer over to my iPad. Often only parts of the sermon document will transfer over, but there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. My internet connections for both devices (desktop and iPad) are solid, I'm running the latest software

Mine is hanging right now... "indexing" but not really... has to be force-quit to get out of the application. Happened as a result of the automatic update. How do I fix it??

Yep - and I don't even know what it means to "load logs" - is this now a steam engine we have to feed with wood to keep going???

Probably the case - one is listed ebook, the other Logos, but why did I end up with two? Can I remove one?

Can anyone tell me why I have two copies of Bloodlines: Race, Cross, and The Christian in my library? How do I get that to one? and which is the better version of the two? Thanks.

    That's exactly it! Thanks Graham.

Now, can the desktop application be trained to do the very same thing?
Unlike the mobile apps - where "highlight destination" is defined at an app level, on the desktop it is defined at the highlighting palette level. • Feature Request: Automatic Resource Specific Highlighting

The iOS version of Logos is great in that it creates a new resources specific document for each resource I'm reading when I highlight selections of that resource. It's automatic too (there is a setting you can adjust to change where the highlight is directed). Now, can the desktop application be trained to do the very same thing? It's laborious to be

So here's what I have for tomorrow: Hope this works well in the pulpit. I also wish the bullets, block quote, and illustrations formatting would be identical to the desktop version - but that's my OCD speaking.

  • Re: Speaker Style: Sermon Document

Is there a significant difference between the Header 1 setting and a Header 2 - I know there is a formatting difference (I know a little CSS) - but does that difference play itself out elsewhere? I usually deploy a "Big Idea" manner of preaching using one main big idea and then 2-3 action points. I wonder if the styles may affect that?

It does Graham... I guess I haven't really played with it a lot to know, so this is good. Your initial videos are helpful.
