  • Strange Highlighting

I have some odd highlights around some of my resources that I have no idea where they came from, where to disable them, or how they got there. Usually they are a pink color highlighting a verse reference and I've noticed them in a few resources, namely the ESV Bible and some NAC commentaries. Does anyone have any insight as to what these are?

  • Re: Left Column vs. Right Column

Yep - time to voice our opinion to the Logos devs (which I appreciate very much!) - Please switch it back!!!

  • Left Column vs. Right Column

This is a slight preference of mine but when I open a new resource in my library on the launch of the app it always (recently) defaults to opening on the right hand column. I would prefer (like it used to) for the resource to open on the left hand column. Any ideas on how to change that? I can't tell if I switched a default or if the app updates did

  • High CPU Usage with Mavericks

Has anyone else noticed a significantly higher usage of your CPU while running L5 on Mavericks? My CPU fan is spinning as if Logos was indexing (but it's not). Activity Monitor reports over 200% of the CPU is occupied by L5. I'm running 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 on a Late 2011 MBP 13"

  • Price Matching

Amazon is selling Kindle editions of the NIV Application Commentary series for 4.99 each. Any chance Logos might match that?

  • Moving Logos to new HDD

I just got a new SSD for my laptop and want to move Logos over from my HDD to it without having to do a new download/install/index of my Logos5 stuff. Any recommendations on how to do this?

  • Re: Most Important Component in Launch Speed

John, That's really helpful. I do have the 750 GB Seagate Momentus running on my box right now but I only have a 13" model so I don't have a second drive bay to add anything in. So I think I might go with a SSD and run from there. I don't use up a TON of the space and other items that aren't system critical I can dump on a large external drive. Logos

Thanks - I have heard the Samsung 840 Pro is the way to go... I was curious if the Internet connection had something to do with load time too. How much content from Logos do you let you homescreen default to on its initial load?

  • Most Important Component in Launch Speed

I am trying to figure out what is the most critical component to making Logos launch as fast as possible. I am using a 2012 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM, with a 2.4 GHz i5 processor and a 750 GB Hybrid Drive. Recently I was borrowing a MacBook Air that had 4 GB of RAM, a 1.7 GHz i5 processor and a 64 GB SSD drive. I didn't benchmark test either system

  • Re: Feature Request - Freehand Highlighting

Graham, I had not considered the sentence diagram tool for that... I must admit I relapse into a catatonic state whenever I pull up the sentence diagram tool because of my overuse of it in seminary. I can see it having some immediate advantages but I can't access these on my iPad yet, and that's where I'd be doing some of this mark up primarily. I know

  • Re: Feature Request - Freehand Highlighting

Bama, I am sure I am asking for the impossible because I want my highlights to stick WITH the text (not just a graphic layer that might get out of sync if the text was resized, etc.). My logic is that I'm using Logos more and more as my markup text but I'd like to take it to the next level in that work. I am familiar with the inductive pallet and while

  • Feature Request - Freehand Highlighting

I'd love to see in Logos a way to freehand highlight and mark up a text. For instance as I study 1 Peter 2:19-20 I'd like to be able to draw some connections in the text (as if it were a second layer over the text). 19 For this is a gracious thing, when, x mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20 For what credit is it if, when

  • Re: May I have the NIV84 back?

Not sure I had it before, I thought I did however. I don't have it right now is the problem. I thought the replacement happened in early 2012 but I might be late to the party. Thanks for the help. What might the differences between the Anglicized version and the 84 be?

  • Readers Greek-English Lexicon

In college Sakae Kubo's Reader's Greek-English Lexicon was a must have for being able to build my skills in reading the Greek text. Are there any Logos Resources that list the words (and frequency of usage in the NT) by passage. Or would Zondervan release Kubo for Logos? It'd be a welcome addition!

  • May I have the NIV84 back?

I am aware of all the NIV issues and rebranding/updates etc. so I don't mean to rehash that here where it has already been discussed in other places. However... I became a Logos user in September of 2011 and am wondering if there is anyway I can get the NIV84 back?? Any help is appreciated.

I actually found it in: Schaff, Philip. The Creeds of Christendom, With a History and Critical Notes, Volume III: The Evangelical Protestant Creeds, With Translations . New York: Harper & Brothers, 1882. It's listed as the Baptist Confession of 1688 (The Philadelphia Confession). Thanks for the help.

Does Logos have the 2nd LBC (1689) available for purchase anywhere? Thanks for any help. Jeremy
