  • Non US user ineligible for competition… AGAIN!

Hi All, I love logos products but I'm getting a bit disillusioned with their supposed competitions as they are only ever open to US citizens! Maybe there is 'slight' reason if there are shipping cost, but when the prize is $250 logos credit which could be applied to anybody's account indiscriminate of country, I struggle to see any justification. Please

  • Re: Help needed downloading updates in Africa

Hi Tim, Thanks for your response. That method also occurred to me... I turned automatic updates off, then did command: update resources. It then proceeded to tell me it had found 114mb of resources to download! So looks like there is no difference between 'update now' and 'update resources'. Shalom, J

  • Help needed downloading updates in Africa

Hi All, I am a missionary in Africa and my internet connection is slow and every now and again drops out. I have an 114mb download trying to download but before it hits 100% the connection drops, when the connection is reconnected Logos starts downloading at the beginning again! This is quite frustrating... the furthest I have got is 89%. I know 70mb

  • Re: Tyndale Commentaries

Hi All, just noticed this thread. We had the same problem when the Tyndale Commentaries first came to Logos4. He is the thread for how to fix the problem with metadata http://community.logos.com/forums/p/9971/78919.aspx#78919 The gist is to delete the metadata database so a new one is created! Shalom, Jonty

  • Re: Mission Books

I would love to see a lot of the books found in the William Carey Library on Logos4 http://missionbooks.org/williamcareylibrary/home.php It would be great if a partnership could be developed as this would greatly assist those like myself who are missionaries. I chose to invest in Logos4 in the knowledge that I would not be able to carry lots of heavy

  • French Logos 4

I am a missionary and presently in language training in France before going to work out in W.Africa. I have been using Logos for many years and gained so much from it. Since being in France I have been looking for options for French Bibles, Commentaries and Theology books. Since I am a missionary, a software version is the best (transportability)- my

  • Re: Buy Gift Vouchers Online

As we are now heading towards Easter I thought I might make a little prod and see if there has been any progress at the Logos end on this. It would be fantastic to be able to receive a Logos gift voucher credit from a friend or relative instead of an easter egg!

  • Still problems with Tyndale Commentaries

I decided to start a new post as potentially previous posts could be viewed as showing this problem has been fixed. There still appears to be a problem with the metadata updates for the tyndale commentaries. Two updates have come out: 1st update gave the series metadata for all except 2 books - 2 Peter Jude was blank and 1 Corinthians had the wrong

Originally from northern England, been living in Edinburgh Scotland, in in Paris France for language acquisition. Next year I will be moving out to serve as a missionary in Africa beginning in Senegal. Therefore libronix is essential for portability! Just a thought for Logos, it could be good to put together a concentration map of the world to see where

Thank you all for your comments regarding the different versions. It took me a while to work out that there have been 4 different versions of the Segond: 1910 Louis Segond 1978 La Colombe 2002 Nouvelle Bible Segond (NBS) 2007 Segond21 (NVS) I read some reviews on the different bible mentioned and also on the above versions... I then compared different

I would also love some newer French Bibles. I am presently learning French in Paris before going to work as a missionary in W Africa. In some ways I would prefer to pay to get a good contemporary version than for logos to spend time on old versions. By the way which do you think is the best current French version? 1. For accuracy with the original Hebrew

  • Re: Missing Resources

Hi I also have upgraded to the Gold (LE) version from the previous Gold version and am also struggling to get the new resources downloaded. It would be very helpful to have the details of what additional resources should presently have been downloaded and which are yet to be produced. For example I noticed that the NAC was going to increase from 31
