• Free Book Glitch

I’ve noticed some books have been released for free yesterday and today, then made unavailable later. Were they released by accident? Or was this a strange promotion?

I had this happen once on iOS when I upgraded a tier. Talking with a customer service rep, it took a reinstall to see and download them. I was advised that cramming my entire library onto my iPad could be the cause.

I suspected that was the case. You might want to put a warning on that resource, so people don’t buy it expecting it to work like other versions like I did. Thanks.

Looking more closely at my Talmud, I see it’s not even numbered like the resources that cite it, probably explaining why it doesn’t work. so, I sent an email requesting a refund as I certainly would not have bought it if I knew it wasn’t going to work in studying Jewish authors.
David--It sounds to me like you might be having issues with your prioritization. For Babylonian Talmud references we use data types for them which means links should resolve to your highest prioritized resource that is indexed by Babylonian Talmud references.
that’s the only version of the Babylonian Talmud

  • General Question on Links

Are links to a specific product only? Or do they link to the best version the user has? I ask because I’ve been having trouble lately. For example, links to the Babylonian Talmud will not recognize this version: https://www.logos.com/product/10356/the-babylonian-talmud-original-text-edited-corrected-formulated-and-translated-into-english (effectively

Likewise. Perhaps those emails should not be sent to those who already own the product?

As a follow up, the links to 3+4 Kings do properly redirect to 1+2 Kings

  • Samuel-Kings Link confusion

I’m noticing that some of the links involving 1+2 Samuel (which are sometimes called 1+2 Kings in older works) are sent to what we call 1-2 Kings today when they were known as 3+4 Kings. I’m not sure if these were just computer generated or if someone made a mistake. Here’s an example from the Fathers of the Church series from Caesarius

  • Feature Suggestion

Sometimes when I follow a link to a resource I don’t have, it comes up with a “Not available“ popup. I would like to see an option to go to the Logos page the resource is sold on.
David: I haven't looked at it fully but based off the snippet you showed it looks correct to me. As Mike mentioned different translations/versions have different versifications. We create verse maps so that whatever your preferred Bible translation might be will have the right verses. In this case it looks like its following
