I DL'ed L3 and tried to get the esv from the wiki page, but I still need to unlock it somehow. I do own an eligible bible to get the esv on L3, and I sent off an email to see if I can get it. If there was a coupon card in the box with my bible, I lost it or tossed it. Hopefully I will receive some grace from crossway, as
I have 256GB hard drive with about 183 GB available space. That should be sufficient, but is the RAM memory upgrade necessary or preferred to operate Logos 4 in any way?
256 GB HDD with 183 GB available is sufficient space, but you might consider upgrading to a 7200 RPM HDD if your current drive is 5400 RPM. I just

I was working through one of the volumes of the UBS Translator Handbooks, and came across a reference to Fauna and Flora of the Bible: Helps for Translators . I have been aware of this books existence for some time, but I have never really seen it. Seeing the reference spurred me on to see if I could purchase this in Logos. Alas, I could not find it

This thread actually fits better in the "suggestions" forum. Repost there and you will get a better response. The "Mac" forum is for Mac specific issues. However, I concur on your suggestion. The Valley of Vision would be a nice addition to Logos. Even better, the entire Banner of Truth catalogue.
I received an email today from CBD in which they are offering a new pre-pub price on Karl Barth's Church Dogmatics (the new hardcover set from Hendrickson) for only $99. I've always wanted my own copy of these books, but the price for either the print edition or the electronic edition has been prohibitive. While I would prefer
I wonder why Logos doesn't sell both of Zerwick's books in a package deal... I'd get both in a heatbeat!
This does make logical sense, but is likely an issue with the publisher. Editrice Pontificio Istituto Biblico may be unwilling to sell Zerkwick's grammar unbundled from Swetnam's grammar for the sake of selling
Any suggestions on what I can do or what you do as I find it odd to bring a laptop, remote control in hand and then have my iPad (although it saves killing trees by wasting paper)?
Sumair, You can acquire a remote control that would advance slides from afar. This would eliminate the need to bring your laptop into the pulpit
I currently have a late summer 08 white Macbook running L4 through Fusion/Windows XP. I am thinking of Installing Snow Leopard and L4Mac, but would like to install a new hard drive first. My current hard drive is running out of space at 160 gb. Has anyone installed a new hard drive in their Macbook? Is it difficult to do? Also

I love the way that the Mac just works.
Yes, it is really awesome how it just works.
Si Cochran, I'm using a late Spring 2008 white macbook and I ran into the same problem you did with small hard drive space. I got a 320GB drive because I read somewhere that the 2008 macbook models couldn't read a hard drive beyond that point. I hope that proves wrong for you. One other thing that I did was upgrade the memory
OK, Tom, I removed the program and deleted everything that said 'LOGOS' (that I could find), and did a re-install again. It seems to be working fine, but indexing is taking hours and has yet to finish. Is this normal for the initial startup?
Yes, the initial indexing will consume a number of hours to complete.

Pam, I know your question was directed toward Jacob, but I thought it might be helpful to provide a different perspective. I continually appreaciate Jacob's insight, but in this case I think he weighted the NT over the OT in the EBC wrongly (no offense Jacob). Obviously this is a subjective assessment, but I have found the OT in the EBC to be more consistent
Personally I don't like anything concise unless it's truly concise and in print so I can stick it in my pocket. This lexicon includes things like extended definitions
I have the CD for installing, but when I run it, it says its connecting/signing in and does nothing
You will be better off downloading the latest version if you are able to do so.
