• Bible Speed Speech?

Gotta love the humble typo. From Morris Proctor's "Search While Typing" Blog Post: "If you were a Libronix 3 user before moving up to Logos 4 you may have enjoyed a feature called Bible Speed Speech . . ." I wonder if this feature will help cut down on long-winded preaching? Or maybe there could be a "Talk Through the Bible in an Hour" class. I didn

  • Re: Anyone using an SSD to Run Logos 4 on a Windows Platform?

Well, I took the plunge. The installation was painless - about the only thing that was unexpected was that I needed an adapter bracket to get the 2.5" drive to fit in a 3.5" drive bay. No big deal. There was no documentation of any use with the SSD, but that really wasn't an issue. It installs and sets up just like any other SATA hard drive. There are

  • Anyone using an SSD to Run Logos 4 on a Windows Platform?

Hi all, Browsing at my local Micro Center, I see that they have a 64GB SSD available for $169. That's within the range I would consider reasonable if there's a decent performance boost to Logos 4. I'm running on an AMD quad core with 8 GB RAM and a Hitachi 1TB SATA HD. OS is Vista Home Premium. Is there anyone who's got an SSD and can relate what their
Thanks for the link, William. It's interesting to see what Logos uses to help create our libraries. 200 pages/minute is an order of magnitude faster.
I believe that the reason Logos uses the scanner that it has, is because many of the (old) books being scanned are somewhat fragile, and won't stand rough handling
Other than searching, there is not good way. I would personally like to have by books stacked by type (i.e. Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries,).
I agree. As Logos keeps adding more books (yay!), it's going to get pretty tedious doing all that scrolling. Typing in words to filter the list is OK if you know what

Is there some way of organizing books so it's not just one humongous scrolling list? I haven't been able to find any feature like this - but that doesn't mean it's not there. Am I missing something? Thanks, Jim D.

It's a lot of fun, isn't it? I know that the Prepub is really a helpful tool for Logos (helps them gauge interest before committing scarce resources to a new project), but it is such a blast for all us customers as well. My prepub list is miniscule at 12, compared to some of the other posters on here. And a couple, like "The Harvard Classics" for example

  • Is Logos 4.0 a Replacement for Logos 3.x or Not?

OK, let me head off the horde here. I'm not trying to be devisive or inflammatory in any way. I'm not trying to start an e-rumble. I'm just confused. In various places in the forums, I've seen comments that 4.0 really isn't an upgrade to 3.x, we shouldn't look at it that way, it's a whole new approach, etc. etc. etc. I've even seen Logos criticized
