I know that the Windows version uses the .net framework What does the mac version use? Perhaps it would be easier to get the Mac version to run on linux/bsd as the underpinnings of Mac started life as BSD.

I'm also interested in this series. I put in my order. Every little bit helps. I have had to wait for over a year before for Logos to release a pre pub. We shall see. I hope they do release this before Christmas but they are not in any hurry to get new books out there. Maybe the Lord will come back before that happens and then we we shall find out the

  • Re: Logos 7 Price and Discount Calculator

Thanks for the tool but it doesn't work. I put in all the numbers but it isn't pulling the full price of the package I want. I don't know much about spreadsheets other than to be smart enough to avoid ever using them. :-) I will just stop where I am at on the upgrade. I hope that there isn't a similar problem with the software that the sales folks use

  • Searching for words of Jesus

Logos is fine as a searchable ebook reader but you need a phd to do anything more. I usually leave it sit for months as it is so hard to use. There is always something that comes up i wanted it to do for me like now. After 2 hours of trying I had to give up. I saw a book in the store today that had just the words of Jesus in it. I figured there should

So aside from shutting everything down I can't make this work. Worthless. It's one thing after another with this program. I either can never find anything in this massive library I have or this thing crashes. I guess I just wasted over 6000 dollars. I give up.

I did that once years ago teaching a Sunday school lesson. Now, everybody turn in their Bibles to Second Hezekiah..... I heard a LOT of flipping and quite a few people sitting there with big grins....... This brought me to the topic at hand. Learning your Bible. First thing we need to do is to know what books there are in it and where they are located

I have 5. Thank you. They seem to have done to this what MS did when they butchered Word in 2007. That awful ribbon thing. I haven't used it since. In that list, I am missing a few things. I'll add them. Not sure but I know that Psalms is not there and there are some others I can't put my finger on. I am not a programmer so I don't know what mysterious

Awesome! Thanks! I don't have Excel but I do have Libre Office. I never use spreadsheets for anything so I am not up on the latest commands but even a dummy like me can use this list. Thank you. Randy... a few swift clicks and regex... what's a regex? I know what a text editor is but not sure what a regex is. I can do a few command line things in linux

  • Re: Every 3:16 in the Bible

I saw that book but I think he is using the NRSV. I wanted to do something with this in church and if it is not in the KJV, I dare not bring it through the doors. I was hoping that with the thousands I have invested in two Bible software programs that one of them could do this for me. I'll just have to manually type in all of the first three letters

  • Every 3:16 in the Bible

Is there any way to search for every occurrence of a chapter and verse in the entire Bible? In this case, I am looking for 3:16. I would like to do others in the future but it would be nice if I could just run a search for it.

In the command line box, type in Update now. That should get it to check the server again and download the update all over again. You can also just shut down the program and open it back up again. I had a corrupt download once and that took care of it.

  • Re: Upgrading

Your best bet is to upgrade as much as you can when you cross over. Speaking of crossing over, they now have the barebones minimal crossgrade option available. You are going to get the most bang for your buck by paying for the upgrade package now. Hindsight is always 20/20 and they should have used different names for their new packages in 5. The same

In those directions for logs, I found a way to fix it. Thank you! Something, I have no clue what, was opening with the program and I just knew that was the cause of it somehow. I couldn't find a way to open it in "safe mode". Hit command on open and check the use blank layout box. Bang. I used one of sessions from before the time all this went crazy

So PC gets a new logo and we on the Mac side get a crashing program that won't run. Have just gone through the horrific process of rebooting. Mid 2011 iMac with 12 gigs... not nearly enough memory. 5 gigs free and after removing the old app and putting it in the trash, and replacing it with a fresh one... same thing. I need to somehow clear out the

This update killed my program. It now crashes on start and is completely unusable. I've sent 30 reports to Apple. Is there any way to fix this or should I just give up? I can always just use this program and never update it on my Air but the screen is so much smaller. Very frustrating as I just put all this money into it and now I can't access any of

I have a Nook HD plus right here and the app store they have at BN is a JOKE. There is NOTHING in it. I will be throwing this back over the counter tomorrow and demanding a refund. You can't sideload anything on it. I've tried for several hours now. Also, you can't root devices anymore. At least in WA state, it is now illegal to root any device. I'm

[quote user="R. Mansfield"] I guess I feel the opposite of your position in regard to translations, too. I consider the newer ones to be more accurate and more informed by the actual documentary evidence. Incidentally, I teach primarily from the HCSB on Sundays, but not for the reasons you describe. There are some portions in English Bibles that I would

I downgraded to Silver in 5 from Platinum in 4. For a limited time, I can still go higher with the same deal I had before. Over all, so far I don't see a huge difference. Flashier interface and some changes in the way it does things but it is still pretty cumbersome and difficult to use. I was hoping for more but I am not disappointed in what I got

Robin, I would suggest that you give the good folks at Logos a call first thing tomorrow when they are open. They are quite reasonable and if you voice your concerns over this, they might be willing to make arrangements with you regarding all of this uncertainty. If you spend a certain amount of time going over the lists of things you will get with
