Bill, the video resource was updated May 11th. I just tested the resource and it sounds good on my end. If you have downloaded the videos you will need to erase them and re-download the new versions. Otherwise, the streaming videos should playback the new files. Let me know if you're still experiencing problems with the resource.
-
The update should ship tomorrow. Thanks again for your patience.
-
We've re-transcoded this lesson as well as the other screencast tutorials in this course. We will try to ship an update to the resource next week which will give you access to the full video and higher quality tutorial videos all the way around. Thanks for reporting this issue.
-
We're looking into the issue and will hopefully have an update to the resource soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
Thanks for pointing this out—we'll correct the mistake as soon as we can.
-
@John, which lessons are you having trouble viewing?
-
Sakarias, I just confirmed with our Content Production department that the update to BI100 went out this afternoon. It should be available immediately on the Logos desktop apps and should be pushed out to mobile apps by the end of the day tomorrow. This update fixes the audio issues you noted by raising the overall volume and further refining the quality

Video playback is very limited on virtual machines or remote connections. If you want to continue using your desktop for your studies I would recommend viewing the videos natively on the machine in your bedroom using www.biblia.com (free) or App.Logos.com (for Logos Now subscribers). Doing this gives you a better video playback experience and the remote

We've identified the cause of this problem and corrected it by making some changes to how our video hosting servers are configured. You should all notice improved playback functionality on Mobile and Mac platforms without updating or even restarting Logos. Please let us know if you continue to experience these issues. Also, I'd love to hear if you have

The issue does have to do with the way we stream videos to our Mac desktop and mobile applications. Sometimes closing the resource and reopening it solves the problem. If you've tried this and the video still cuts out on you the best solution is to download the videos to your local hard drive. We're still looking into why this is occurring.

It looks like something may be wrong with the service that provides HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) streaming to Apple computers and most mobile devices. This is a high priority for us to fix and we're working on pin-pointing the problem. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have this issue resolved soon. I'll update this thread as we know more
-
Thanks for catching this. We have already made the correction and queued it up for a resource update. It will likely be a couple more weeks before these changes make their way into the actual resource. For now here is a link to the corrected video (the second to last video in the course): https://logos.wistia.com/medias/ogqe7hk5m3 We will retire the

Thanks, Gary. We are aware of this issue and are working on pushing out an update soon.

If you're interested in further supplemental reading, Greg Ogden's Introducing Discipleship just cleared Pre-Pub and is under contract: https://www.logos.com/product/35582/discipleship-essentials-a-guide-to-building-your-life-in-christ We don't link to this book in the course but it is a great resource for facilitating discipleship triads and one-on

We've correct the error and have queued it up for a course update. The lesson will be updated soon. Good catch!
-
Yes, it downloads media just for that resource. This let's you choose which of your courses to download and which to keep in the cloud to be downloaded later.

Dan and Mark, Mobile Ed courses ship with two resources: a text/transcript resource and a video resource. Both resources can be found in search of your library for the course code or title. To open the video resource you can do that as any other book in your library or you can click on a video thumbnail from within the transcript resource (doing this

Don and Rob, We've identified the problem and have corrected the corrupted video file. We plan to push out an update to the resource today to fix the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for letting us know about the issue! UPDATE (2:00PST on 12.22.2014): We have now shipped the fix to the resource and the videos should work properly now
-
Matthew, thank you for your thoroughness in documenting this problem. We have identified the root cause and are now actively working on correcting the issue so that the background is consistent throughout all Mobile Ed courses and on all platforms. Right now it appears this is a Windows only issue. Mobile and Mac users shouldn't be affected. Unfortunately

Josh, it is not currently possible to auto play videos within a video resource. We are aware of this issue and are working to make our video playback experience more user friendly. What other features would you like to see implemented in our video player that would improve your user experience with Mobile Ed?
